Prologue

There is a kingdom, this kingdom is called Coreighly, and at the edge of the kingdom is a village surrounded by a large, menacing wood. The villagers know the woodland as The Crimson Forest, a place where the laws of mortals hold no power, and an ancient and obscure magic governs the land. Within the forest, there is a clearing where the two worlds collide and deals are made, deals that can never be broken, deals written in blood. Many no longer venture to the clearing, for fear of waking the spirits that haunt the area, the restless souls of those who broke a deal, but sometimes a deal is necessary. A deal started this, and a deal will end it.
