The start of a new beginning

A girl named Marnie, she had always been thinking about restarting life as it got worse but she couldn't change one bit because of she did her friends would start to question her about her worries.

As these miserable days continued, Marnie's parents was deciding if they wanted her to change schools or not due to the financial crisis, they had to make it fast since -'s school year was ending quicker than expected.

It was already the week of her final exams. All she could do was just keep doing the same thing.

It was tiring honestly, coming back from school, lunch then straight to studying until it lulls her to sleep. Well at least the main subjects' exams were done, so she could have some spare time for her hobbies.

Time skip to end of school year

Marnie was in her room, drawing whatever she saw out her window peacefully. Then she heard knocking on her door so she got up and opened it to see her mom coming in and sitting on the edge of her bed.

"Sweetie, we need to discuss about- Uhm.. Changing schools. Well me and your dad knows that you are enjoying the current school but you know about the crisis" Her mom spoke up.

It enlightened Marnie just to hear the words 'changing schools', "Yes mom! Of course I wanna change schools!!" She yelled out of excitement. "Well, me and dad already chose a school for you. We could go there and see if you like it then I can send you to that school. So get dressed " Her mom replied as she smiled softly.

Marnie's mom left the room so she also could change. On the other hand, Marnie was so excited she took out her favorite set of clothes, a white collared shirt, a dark brown bow, a loose khaki cardigan, a short black skirt, a pair of leg warmers and also a black pair of loafers.

She took the things she need and quickly went outside was she heard her mom's car engine starting. The school was only 10 mins away from their house luckily so she could cycled there too. They got off the car and went to the reception asking for the calendars, fees etc. Her mom and the receptionist kept blabbering about those so she went off and toured the school on her own.

On her way visiting the library, a boy just her type walked to her asking her, "Will you join this school next year?," she nodded her head, "I'm glad. My name is Aaron, what's yours?" he asked again. "I'm Marnie, nice to meet you." The boy peeked over her, pointing towards a woman "Is that your mom?". Marnie turned her head around,
"Oh yeah, gotta go byee!" She waved the boy goodbye.

She kept thinking about the specific boy throughout the car ride, it seemed like he was also joining for ninth grade, she just hopes she can see him again.

Timeskip to midnight

Marnie couldn't stop thinking about Aaron. His smile, his curiosity, his eyes, his face, his kindness... Oh the list was never ending. She couldn't believe she has to wait another month to meet this boy.
