"I'VE BEEN WAITING For this." the voice of the black haired teen echoes in the females ears as she approaches him in an empty hallway of the school. Her hands rest casually in the pockets of her trousers and she raises her brows in surprise.
"Megumi? What's up-" she asks but cuts herself off as the boy gets into a fighting stance. He raises his hands in front of his body and strong cursed energy radiates him. She feels how is power increases, feeling greater than it ever was before.
"I can't trust a monster like you." Megumi utters. "Unlike my classmates I know your story. And I'm going to try my best to prevent something like that to ever happen again." Determination spreads over the boy's serious face and she can clearly see that he means what he says.
She narrows her brows and grits her teeth. She doesn't want to fight with this boy. However, it seems like she has to, as he begins to form shadow figures with his hands.
"Shadow technique, hellhound!" he calls out and a wolf appears next to him. This hound is different to his others. Since his white one died in the last mission, it has mixed with the black one. Now there stands a big, black and white hound with long claws. It looks stronger now, since the both powers of the wolves have combined.
"Megumi, I don't want to do this!" Nekura calls out to the boy and clenches her fists. "I feel like we should talk this out!"
The boy shakes his head and lets out a laugh. "Oh you can feel?" he scoffs before sending the hound into her direction. It moves fast and aims for a strike into her stomach. However, she dodges it and lands on her feet again, keeping distance between the two of them.
The female frowns. She can understand the student. Her past has been a rough and brutal one and she was never someone who had morals. She has been a ruthless vampire who kills anyone she passes by. She didn't earn the title queen of vampires for no reason. The boy has very well a reason to question her and her behavior - because it's not how she used to be.
"I don't want to hurt you, Megumi!" she calls out again but nothing seems to reach him. He is so determined to kill her, as if showing what a monster she is or how strong he became over time.
He keeps forming shadow figures, now frogs appearing all over the place. She dodges their attacks and smoothly lands on the ground.
"You're a good sorcerer!" she says, looking into his eyes deeply. "It's understandable to have issues with trusting people like me." she adds before dodging another attack, killing one of the frogs, which surround her.
He grits his teeth and tries to get close to her, fighting in close combat as his shadow figures help him. The hound comes from behind, ramming its claws into her back. She winces in pain and jumps away, her wounds slowly healing as she gets more space from him. One of her hands turn black and black claws appear, making him wide his eyes in shock.
She looks into his eyes with her hazel ones, trying to reassure him with with her gaze. However, as her hound runs towards her in fast speed again she raises her claw hand, destroying its body with her one move. She stands completely still and remains calm, though, she feels bad for having to destroy this precious and strong shadow figure like that. The body of the hound falls on the ground, covered in blood. She looks down at it with a frown but a wave of relief washes over her as she sees that it's still alive.
"Megumi-" she begins but he cuts her off by suddenly appearing behind her, striking into the back of her neck harshly. She stumbles forwards before turning around to him. He aims for another punch, but this time she catches his fist and grips around it tightly. Her eyes look into his piercingly, her power almost overcoming her, causing her irises to shine slightly red.
Megumi grits his teeth. I knew it. He pulls back and jumps a bit backwards, eyeing her closely. After a silence he laughs and raises his arms.
"Screw it!"
He puts his hands together, making her gasp and wide her eyes in shock.
"Domain expansion."
Darkness surrounds them, only he's able to see clearly. His domain, however, is incomplete. But this won't hold him back from giving his best.
He goes into close combat with her, leaving her no chance to dodge his attacks as he appears out of nowhere. Shadow figures form around her, attacking her from above and from all sides. But it all doesn't seem to make her weak or even kill her at all. She stays calm and looks around, her red eyes searching the figure of the boy. As he's about to strike into her stomach again she kicks against his fist, sending him flying off against a wall. He winces in pain, blood dripping down the corner of his mouth.
But he won't give up.
He stands up again, using every opportunity to punch or kick this woman. Nue, his shadow figure which looks like a bird, is trying its best to attack her. However, after it aims for another attack Nekura raises her arm and destroys it completely. Megumi wides his eyes, sweat rolling down his forehead.
With fast steps Nekura runs towards the boy, kicking him again. He flies meters away and hits another wall. A stingy pain flows through his spine, making him wince. He coughs blood and lets himself fall onto the ground. His breath is shallow and his eyes are heavy, trying to stay open as he looks up at the female.
She slowly steps towards the boy, whose domain and shadow figures disappear. The atmosphere still feels heavy but the fight has found its end as she kneels in front of him. Putting her hand on his shoulder, she looks at the teen. Her gaze is sympathetic.
"You're strong, Megumi." she says softly. "But I'm not your enemy."
The black haired boy looks at her and doesn't say anything. Blood rolls down his forehead and his jaw is slightly bruised. Though, he feels like a heavy weight was lifted from his shoulders. This was his first time of doing a domain expansion and he also feels able to trust her after this fight. She did not kill him, even though she could've done that easily. He gulps, his throat feeling dry. His eyes pierce hers and a slight smile creeps up over his lips.
