Kim was at home getting ready for work, and her four kids, Kendall, Scarlett, Arlo, and Amari, who were 3 years old, were asleep in their rooms.
Kin was wearing her Police Officer Uniform, and she went upstairs to wake the kids up.
She opened Kendall's door and woke her up.
Kim said," Kendall, Honey, it's time to wake up and get ready for school. I also made breakfast for you and your siblings.
Kendall woke up, got dressed in a red knee-length dress with a red sweater and red flats, and a red ribbon in her hair.
Kim woke up Arlo, and he got dressed in a green button-up shirt with blue jeans and green tennis shoes and headed downstairs.
Kim woke up Scarlett, and she got dressed in a purple knee-length dress with a purple sweater and purple flats and a purple ribbon in her hair and heads downstairs.
Kim woke up Amari, and he got dressed in a black button-up shirt with blue jeans and black tennis shoes and headed downstairs.
Kim and her kids ate their breakfast in nice silence, and She helped them into their car seats and drove them to daycare and she helped them out of the car, and they headed inside the daycare, and she made sure they got inside the daycare safely and then headed to work. She was nervous about the first day of her new job as a police officer.
Kim arrived at work on time and headed inside the police station to see who her partner was and what she needed to do.
Trudy Platt said," You must be one of the new recruits. What's your name?
Kim shyly said," My name is Kim Burgess.
Trudy Platt then handed her her paperwork that said who her partner was and that they were patrol officers. She looked at the paper, and it said that her partner was a Kevin Atwater, and she looked around for him. She finally spotted him standing alone.
Kevin found someone waving to him, and he walked over, and he said," Hi. I'm Kevin Atwater. It's nice to meet you. Are you new?
Kim said," It's nice to meet you too, Kevin. My name is Kim Burgess, and yes, I'm new.
Kevin said," I'm new here as well, and we should get going. Otherwise, We will be in trouble with Sergeant Platt. Come on, Kim.
Kevin and Kim headed to one of the squad cars and started doing their jobs for a while.
They got to know each other and learned they have a lot in common and that they both wanted to be in the Intelligence unit.
Once they finished doing their job, they headed back to the station and told Sergeant Platt what they did for the day and headed home for the night to be with their families.
Kim picked up her kids, Kendall, Scarlett, Arlo, and Amari, and took them home.
Kim said," How was yall"s first day of school? Did you make friends, kiddos?
Kendall said, " We made friends with Joey, Vinessa, Jordan, and Melina Atwater.
Kim's heart swelled in pride and worry because she wanted her kids to stay safe.
Kim said," I made a friend named Kevin Atwater, and he was nice to me. Maybe they are related to each other, kiddos. I love you.
Scarlett said," I love you too, Mommy. When are you going to introduce us to him?
Kim said," I'm not sure, sweetheart. I have to make sure that I trust him and that he trusts me.
Kim made dinner and helped the kids get a bath, put Pj's on them, and put them to bed, and then she headed to bed herself.
