Kim wakes up and gets ready for work just as her phone rings and she sees her dad's number.
Kim answers and says in a small voice," It is really you, daddy? I missed you so much Daddy.
Calvin said," I missed you too, princess. I'm sorry to tell you this but your mom and I got a divorce right after you left. I didn't like the way she treated you during your pregnancy. anyway, I moved to Chicago to hopefully be allowed to be a part of your life again, Kimmy.
Kim said," I'm sorry to hear that you and mom got divorced, dad. I would love to see you again.
Calvin said," it's alright. I'll text you and let you know when I'm free to meet you and my grandkids.
Kim said," Awesome, alright, I'll see you soon, dad. I love you. and I'll tell the kids about you.
Kim hangs up before getting up to wake up Kendall, Scarlett, Arlo, and Amari, for daycare.
Kim said," Kendall, Scarlett, Arlo, and Amari, it's time to wake up and get dressed for Daycare.
Kendall, Scarlett, Arlo, and Amari woke up, got dressed and were carried downstairs to eat breakfast before Kim remembered that she had something to tell the kids and it was good news.
Kim said," Kids, I have some good news. Grandpa is coming to visit us and he is going to live here in Chicago, Illinois. would you four like to meet Grandpa. He's going to let me when he is free.
Kendall, Scarlett, Arlo, and Amari cheered, excited to meet their grandpa Calvin Burgess.
Kendall, Scarlett, Arlo, and Amari are then carried to the car by their mommy, Kim Burgess.
She drives them to daycare and drops Kendall, Scarlett, Arlo, and Amari off and heads to work.
She is met by her Patrol Partner Kevin Atwater, and he simply said," Bank Robbery in Progress.
Kim nodded and they headed to the bank to stop the robbers and hopefully keep everyone safe.
Kim headed inside the bank and that's when she recognized one of the Robbers as Zach Ruzek, and Zach then took off his mask and recognized Kim Before sending her an evil smile and left.
Kim shook her head and got back to the patrol car and took a long deep breath to keep calm.
Kevin got into the passenger seat and Kim got into the Driver's seat and asked," What the Hell was that in there, Kim? do you know him or something, because you looked so scared kim.
Kim said," That was stupid my arrogant prick of a boyfriend that I dated in high school, Zach Ruzek and the dad of my babies, Kendall, Scarlett, Arlo, and Amari. I'm raising them on my own. when I told mom, she freaked out and called me awful names and kicked me out of the house.
Kevin said," Damn, I can't Believe she would do that. She sounds like a awful mom. that's woah.
Kim said," at this point, I'm used to her bull, But I get over it by reminding myself I have kids.
Kevin said," stay strong, Kim. don't let her get you down, you are 10 times the person she is.
Kim said," Thank you for the kind words, Kevin. I needed to hear that. you are an amazing friend.
Kevin said," you're welcome, Kim. Now let's track down these Robbers and arrest them for good.
Kim nodded and began to drive back to the 21st district and parked the car in the parking lot.
Kim and Kevin drive all day trying to Find Zach Ruzek, her ex-boyfriend to find out why he is robbing banks when he has family who could supply him money if he needs it that badly.
They find nothing and then return to their homes, only Kim to open the door, to see her dad who was dropping groceries off at her house to surprise her and got her flowers too, lying on the floor, covered in blood, a bullet in his arm, the flowers are smashed and the kids are missing.
Kim said into her Radio," Police Officer Kim Burgess, Badge number, 59686. I need ambo to 114 Canaryville. My dad has been shot and my kids are missing. Their names are Kendall, Scarlett, Arlo, and Amari, They are only three years old and their dad is Zach Ruzek, who is a robber.
An Ambo arrives to take her dad to the hospital and she drives to the hospital and waits for news about her dad, Kevin is standing next to her, and he is offering comfort for Kim, his best friend.
