basically the ending of whale done but rewritten

I grabbed her hand, and we looked toward the horizon as our boat sped across the waves, racing towards the largest creatures that have ever lived.

The blue whales were absolutely magnificient. Their backs shone in the sunset and each spout of water almost reached up to us. Summer and I enjoyed every bit of it. The whales eventually left after being so close to our boat. Doc and Kandace eventually got bored and went into the cabin to rest while Cass continued to pilot the boat. As I looked back at the waters, I realized the sunset looked almost as beautiful as the whales. I was pretty sure Summer was thinking the same thing.
"Hey Teddy?"
"Yeah?"
"Romantic, isn't it?"
"I guess."
Every time I watched a movie involving a cruise, the main characters always kissed in a sunset at the end. I wasn't very confident in doing that, so I decided to just strike up a conversation.
"Hey Summer, um, thanks for all this."
"Oh yeah no problem."
The conversation wasn't really going that well and we both knew it. Summer broke the silence.
"Teddy, thanks to you too. We wouldn't have done any of this if it wasn't for you, or your house."
Then she did something surprising. Summer hugged me. Now that wasn't that shocking since we had had romantic times before, but the surprising part was that we were now kissing in front of the sunset. But I was too busy enjoying it and decided to relax.
After a minute or so, she finally pulled back and we just stared at each other awkwardly. Then we heard clapping.
"That was amzing! you guys are such a cute couple!"
It was Cass. We had forgotten she was still here since she had to pilot the boat. Summer and I turned bright red and went back into the cabin. Unfortunately, Doc and Kandace saw us blushing.
"Woah, what happened up there, you two?" Doc asked playfully.
"We-" I decided to just tell them the truth and get it over with, but unfortunately Summer had other plans.
"Nothing."
Then she grabbed my hand and pulled me into our room.
" Why can't I tell them? We've kissed and hugged before infront of more people."
"Some things are just meant to be a secret." Summer replied.
I just rolled my eyes.
"Speaking of which, I'm not supposed to tell you this, but how do you fell about going to [Redacted: contains spoilers]?"
"What happened there?"
"You'll see."
