Bishop had just finished her shift for the day and decided to take a shower. Herrera and Vic were in the stalls next to hers. god, that was an interesting shift, Vic says. Hell yeah, Bishop replies with exhaustion. The three of them experienced a job where an enraged man had driven his car into his ex's living room! Luckily no one was home, only the terrifying ex-boyfriend was injured. It was a complex extraction getting the vehicle out of the living room, but Herrera made a great call as Captain and was able to salvage the home intrusion with the least amount of damage. Well, excluding the emotional damage that the homeowner of the insane ex-boyfriend would be experiencing when she got home. One of my least favorite parts of the job is rescuing idiots, especially psychotic idiots, Herrera says annoyed. Now in the locker area, the firefighters were getting dressed. Vic cheerfully asks Bishop, how's the Baby-making? Maya had mentioned to them previously that she and Carina were trying again. Oh god! Maya laughs. Andy startled, burst out, Vic! What?! Vic defensively says, just trying to lighten the mood it's kinda my thing remember! Maya and Andy roll their eyes and chuckle. Well, the "Baby making" isn't "Baby happening" Maya says. Wow, that was actually painful Bishop, Vic says. Andy also cringes. Save the dad jokes for the kid Bishop, Vic replies teasingly. Maya was slightly embarrassed but not hurt, she knew the joke was pitiful and it would get a reaction. Carina and I have been on completely different shifts lately, I don't think we've been in the same room longer than ten minutes, anyways, yeah no making of babies. Can we all stop the "baby-making" terms, please?! A slightly annoyed Herrera shouts. Vic laughs. sorry Bishop, I shouldn't have asked, that has to be tough, Vic says. No, it's okay, I feel like it's going better this time even though we're not with each other. I'm in a better place now mentally and emotionally, I've been sticking to therapy, and my number one priority right now is our marriage and the fertility stuff too but if that doesn't work out we still have each other and I want Carina to know that I'm here for her no matter what unfolds. I never want to come even remotely close to losing her again. I'm proud of you Maya, Andy says, you two are made for each other, you'll get through this, she says with a sincere smile. Maya smiles back at Andy. Okay, enough baby talk! Maya bursts out jokingly, Maya enjoyed talking to her friends about this but it had been an emotionally and physically draining day for her. let's go out for drinks! I know I need one! Maya says. Should we ask the guys if they wanna join? Vic says. Hell nah! Andy replies, "Girls' night"!
