Step - 12 Parents

It took a few more minutes for them to reach the hospital. As soon as they reached the hospital Sky got down at the entrance while Phai went to the parking lot to park the car.

A few minutes later Phai also followed Sky to the room where Lynn was admitted. When Phai was about to enter the room, he saw Lynn and Sky were discussing something about the delivery and all. Phai was happy looking at the two people in front of him who gave him a lot of happiness even though he had hurt them the most. He was about to enter ki the room when he was pulled away by someone.

Phai - Dad, what are you doing?

Frost - Do you still remember that I am your Dad? Where were you all night? I tried calling you so many times why were you not lifting?

Phai - I am sorry Dad. We had a small welcome party for Sky. So we went to sleep late.

Frost - Fine, I want to ask you something.

Phai - What is it?

Frost - The doctor said that Lynn will be delivering the baby tomorrow.

Phai - Really?

Frost - Yes and I want you and Sky to prepare everything to welcome your little sibling. And

Phai - And what?

Frost - I found a perfect match to you.

Phai - You what?

Frost - Yes, that person is beautiful. And they will be a perfect match for you.

Phai - What are you talking about Dad?

Phai was about to shout at his dad when he heard Sky's scream. Both Frost and Phai ran towards the room.

Phai - Sky, what's wrong?

Frost - Why did you scream?

Sky - Mom, her....her water broke.

Phai - I will go and call the nurse.

Phai went out of the room to call the nurse while Frost and Sky were trying to console Lynn. Both of them started rubbing her hands and said some good words. The nurses ran into the room and took her immediately to the operating room. Sky, Phai and Frost followed her to the operating room. Sky went to fill the pre-operation documents and bought the paper to get it signed by Frost.

When Sky came back he saw that both Phai and Frost were fidgeting outside the room. Sky smiled looking at both of them acting similar to each other. Like father like son was only the thought on his mind looking at scene in front of him. He went and asked Frost to sign the document. Phai was the first one to notice Sky.

Phai - Sky

Sky - Uncle Frost, can you sign this document?

Frost - Yes, son give it to me.

Frost signed the document and gave it back to Sky. Sky went back and submitted the document and paid some cash as advance at the reception. Sky went back and saw both of them still being in tension. He was also a bit nervous since the doctor said that there were few complications in her pregnancy.

Sky - P'Phai, Uncle Frost, please have a seat.

Phai and Frost - No.

Sky gave a serious look to both of them which immediately made them sit down.

Phai - We don't know what's going on inside.

Frost - Yes, we are worried.

Sky - walking all over the corridor doesn't help the situation inside.

Phai and Frost - But

Sky - Shut it up both of you, and sit quietly.

The nurse came outside and called Frost inside. Frost silently followed the nurse leaving Sky and Phai outside.

Sky - P'Phai calm down. It's alright your Dad is already inside.

Phai - I don't know Sky but I feel very nervous whenever I am in hospital. The last time when I was in hospital I lost my Mom. I don't want something like that to happen again. I want both Aunt Lynn and Baby to be safe and healthy. Doctor already said there were complications in her pregnancy. I am really very worried.

Sky - P'Phai look at me. I am here right now with you. Whatever happens we will go through it together okay? Nothing will happen to Mom or the baby. We will do everything we can in our hands. But saving them both is in doctors hands. We can pray that nothing will happen to them.

Phai leaned and hugged Sky. Phai was almost crying when his dad went inside. Sky started rubbing his hands on back of Phai. A few minutes later Frost came out and called Sky and Phai inside.

Sky and Phai went inside holding hands. Phai was still nervous to go inside but he was a bit better because Sky was beside him. Sky was the first one to look at the new borns.

Sky - P'Phai

Phai was already in tears looking at the new borns.

Sky - See, I said it will be a boy.

Phai - there is a girl too. And she will be the princess of this family.

They hugged eachother and cried for few minutes. Frost was also in tears looking at all the four kids he has.

Frost - Now that everything is good. I would like to inform you all that, the welcoming party of these babies will be the same day as Phai's engagement.

Phai and Sky were surprised by the sudden announcement of Frost. Phai and Sky looked at each other.

Phai - No dad, you can't do that.

Frost - I have already given my word to them. And you will also like them once you get to know that person.

Phai - No, I am not going to get engaged to anyone. Sky, tell them.

Sky - P'Phai.... I....

Phai - if you don't then I will. Fine, Sky and I are in a relationship. I will not marry anyone else but Sky.

Lynn - Sky, what is he talking about?

Frost - if you forgot, let me remind you he is your brother.

Phai - But he is my step-brother. Not my brother by blood. And I loved him even before you and Aunt Lynn married.

Frost - Phai, go out now, I need to talk to Sky.

Phai - But Dad

Sky held Phai's hand and pressed it asking Phai not to raise his voice.

Frost - No buts, out now.

Phai looked at everyone's face and then rushed out with anger. As soon as Phai went out and the door was closed, Frost and Lynn looked at Sky in anger.
