Calm and easy flowing 90s music blasts from the speakers in a distance. The lobby of the suit store appears modern with the abundance of bright lighting, brick and rigid walls, and dark wooden floors. The scent of the burning candles fills the air with a subtle rich mahogany top note, black tea wood middle note, and a frosted lavender base note. Je'Rae and Milo wait for Uncle Gen to come from the back of the store patiently as they browse the suit racks.
"I couldn't find anything you requested in a 38 slim but look at these options Youngblood."
Gen brings a sleek navy double-breasted Shawl Lapel suit and an essential black Super 160's virgin wool Brunico suit.
"These aren't pinstriped but they are clean and classy. You feeling navy or black more?"
"Which one is cheaper?" Mumbles Je'Rae.
"Well, the black one is from Brioni so it's $6300," Gen grins, "The Navy is from CeeHuteey
so, it's on the affordable side. It's only $85."
"Let's go nav-"
"Unc put him in that black suit!" Interrupts Milo, "We not worried about them prices."
A frightened Je'Rae turns and looks at Milo. "I can't afford that suit twin. That cost more than the little Honda and the apartment together."
"You tryna impress the rich girl, or not?" Milo shrugs, ". And Unc don't you got a new Hellcat?"
"We gone let him drive MY car?" Gen questions
"I mean yea, he needs a nice car to take to the masquerade party. It's right outside Norcross so he needs something new and fancy. If it makes you feel better Je'Rae is the better driver than the both of us."
Gen sighs and rubs his shaved head as it reflects the overhead lights, "I guess but only
because we related."
