Maya Bishop is Injured!

Part 1

Maya's POV-

It started off as a normal day I have just started a 24 hour shift at the station and Carina had started her 24 hour shift at the hospital. Everything was going good until we were called to the second fire of the night it was a small fire at a house. When we got there Captain Herrera said for me and Warren to be on search and rescue. As we went through the house the only person we were looking for was a six year old girl named Scarlet. Warren sent me to search the main bedroom whilst he searched the bedroom across from it. As I called for Scarlet in the main bedroom I heard a sniffle from the cupboard of the right of the room. 'Scarlet' I called but before I could get to her half the roof fell landing on me. I screamed out in pain as every part of my body hurt! After 5 minutes of screaming I went unconscious and all I could hear was the beep of my PASS Device.

Warren's POV-

"Scarlet! Call out if you can hear m...." I yelled but was interrupted by the sound of the roof falling. As I turned around I was shocked to see that the whole roof where the main bedroom has fallen, wait wasn't Bishop in the main bedroom? OMG Maya!

"Mayday! Mayday! A firefighter down!" I radioed as I ran to where the main bedroom once stood. "Maya where are you!? Bishop! Make a noise or a tap or something please!" I cried as I pushed piles of concrete where I could.

"Warren I'm sending in Herrera and Hughes!" I just heard.

'Oh thank goodness help!' I thought.

"Ben, what happened?" I looked over to my left to see Andy and Vic.

"The roof fell on her when we were looking for a girl, we just need to find Maya and Scarlet the girl." I saw Vic and Andy nod.

"Maya!" All three of us yelled. But that's when I looked to the other side and saw a tiny figure.

"Maya? Is that you?" I questioned as I ran over to the tiny figure covered with chunks of concrete.

"No, I..I'm Scarlet" I heard the tiny figure say. Scarlet!

"Hey sweetheart, I'm Ben. I'm going to get you out of here ok? I saw her slowly open her mouth but nothing came out.

"Ok good, your so so brave. I'm going over there to my friends who have a special thing to go around your neck ok. I promise I'll be right back." I rushed over to Vic and grabbed the medical bag and C-collar. I rushed back but when I saw the little girl she was unconscious. Just to be sure I quickly checked her pulse which was a little bit slow but at least it was a pulse.

I knew she couldn't hear me but just to be sure I told her what was going to happen. Finally I got her to the Aid Car and I was asked if I wanted to go with the little girl. I thought about it, Maya or the little girl. Well Maya had the whole station and this little girl had no one, so I said yes to going with the little girl.

When I got the Grey's Solan, I saw the person I did not want to see right now... Carina!

Should I tell her and freak her out or just let her freak out later when her wife gets transported here?

I've got to tell her but how can I tell her without freaking her out and forcing me to drive her to her wife? I thought about it but that thought was stopped when Carina started walking up to me, oh no.

Carina's POV-

I was consulting a 23 weeks pregnant women in the ER when I saw Ben coming in with a little girl , I was just going to let him get to work but he kept looking at me weird so I decided to go ask him if he needed to talk to me.

"Hey Ben! How are you?" I smiled but by the look on Ben's face I knew something was wrong.

"H..hey Carina. I'm ok, can I talk to you in private?" Ben asked me whilst he looked at the floor.

"Yeah of course, but Ben you're really scaring me. Is everything ok?" I said pointing over to a spare room that was available.

We both walked into the room, but then he pointed over to the chair to sit so I did.

"Carina, during the fire today we were looking for a little girl. Maya decided to look in the main room whilst I looked in the spare room across from it. Bu..but when Maya was looking the the roof fell on her an..." Ben started to contained but I stopped him with a thousand questions

"Is she ok? Is the girl ok? Is she coming her? Why haven't she been transported yet? Is she alive!?" I cried out loud enough to catch the attention of Amelia in the ER.

"Wow Warren what did you say to Carina!" Amelia yelled as soon as she entered the room.

"I didn't do anything! I was explaining to Carina what happened to Maya. Now can you please leave I'm sure Carina doesn't want anyone else in here, unless you want her to stay." He said looking over at me.

"S...she can stay" I whispered opening my arms so I could get a hug from Amelia.

"Ok what I'm about to say might scare you, but you need to know that everyone is trying to find her and that..." I heard Ben say but then it caught up to me 'find her.'

"Find her! I thought she was hurt in the fire!" I asked confused why someone needs to find her.

"When the roof fell on her a lot of cement fell on her and that is causing the finding process to slow down. But Andy and Vic messaged me before to say that have a special piece of equipment to help break the cement, but I promise you, we will find her." Ben said with a sad look on his face.

"C..can I go help find her?" I mumbled into Amelia's shoulder.

"I know you want to help, but it will be faster and safer for you if you stay here with Amelia. Can you do that for me?" Ben questioned me using his 'baby' voice.

I nodded knowing that me going there would probably make me feel worst.

"Ben you go help them, I've got Carina. When you find her can you please message me please?" Amelia said to Ben, Ben nodded and went to walk away.

"Ben wait can I talk to you for a sec? Outside?" Amelia asked Ben, which then Ben nodded again.

"I've got to let go now Carina but I'll be right back I'm just outside the door if you need me. After I talk to Ben we can take a walk over to your favourite coffee shop, ok?" I nodded liking the song of coffee.

Moments later Amelia and Ben walked out of the room. I wonder what they are talking about?
