Henry St. Clair Wurthmann II aka H.C. Wurthmann aka Henry Wurthmann aka Buddy Wurthmann aka Hank Wurthmann, born 10 May 1925, of 36 Lincord Drive, Saint Louis, Missouri 63128-1209 (Sappington CDP), died 22 November 2011.

A devoted son of the late Henry St. Clair Wurthmann I (1891-1971) and Mae Wurthmann née Collins (1893-1964) (spelled "May Wurthmann" on the 1940 census), adored husband, paterfamili?s, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, chef de cuisine, mixologist, raconteur, mentor, dog-lover (six ? majestic Airedales all named Captain aka Cappy), brilliant extempore speaker and friend.

He was survived at the time by Helen Ruth Wurthmann née Shine (1925-2017), his "beloved bride" married 1948 and their nine children:

His sister was Margaret Theresa Meise née Wurthmann (1927-2006), wife of George R. Meise (1918-1991).

Buddy grew up in the Washington Heights section of Manhattan at 550 West 174th Street, New York, New York 10033-8202: Assembly District 23, Manhattan, New York City, New York, New York, Enumeration District 31-2094.

[NOTE: In that same building, according to the Air Service Journal Vol. 3 page 215 of 8 August 1918, lived one Harold H. Schroeppel who received a commission as a 2LT (Aeronautics) in the US Army Air Service]

He finished his elementary education at Incarnation School, 570 West 175th Street, New York, New York 10033-8026 graduating in June 1939.

After high school in 1943 he joined the USAAF. In WW2, Cpl Wurthmann, a right waist gunner, saw action in a North American Aviation B-24G-16-NT 'Liberator' in the 15th Air Force, 451st Bombardment Group (Heavy), 725th Bomb Squadron (Heavy) out of Castelluccio Airfield, Umbria, Italy (41°19?11.69?N 015°32?40.71?E).
