Everyone Has Always Wondered, just what do I want to do once I become an adult. To be honest, when I was at the age when children started dreaming about what they wanted to do in the future, I was an undecided child with no dreams.
When they ask questions about dreams, I'll always answer some random profession that I was not sure I wanted. I continued studying, unsure of what future I'll be having until a fateful event changed my dreamless life.
I remember that it was my graduation in elementary, meaning that after a few months, I'll be opening another chapter of my life. Just like before, I was once again asked what do I want to take in the future, and the only reply that I could give them was I don't know.
Coincidentally, my cousin, who was in another country at that time, decided to call my parents to congratulate me for finishing a major milestone in my life. As we were talking about our dreams, she decided to narrate about hers.
She wanted to become an accountant. The reason why she wanted that profession had already been buried in my mind which I fail to recall yet the name of the profession became buried deep in my heart that my mind fails to forget about it.
For some unknown reason, when I started attending junior high school, I became insistent on taking that job in the future. My decision became more certain the moment that the results of my National Career Assessment Examination (NCAE) in my ninth grade came in since the only result written on it is that I only match a single strand that contains the specific course that I want to take.
The moment that I saw my results made me feel that course was meant for me. So when I transferred schools in my senior high school, I did not hesitate to choose the strand that was aligned with the course that I wanted to take in college.
Even if the school advised me to take another strand, I stubbornly indicated that I will only be taking that strand. After being admitted to the strand of Accountancy, Business and Management (ABM), I happily spent my two remaining years in high school.
Despite the subjects being quite hard, I was able to maintain my grades quite high and was awarded honors for two straight years. Before entering college, I thought that the subjects they will be offering in the future are subjects that I might be able to handle.
With a positive mindset, I confidently enrolled in the course of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy. For the first three semesters, I was still able to kind of grab the concepts being taught.
However, the subjects after that became so hard to comprehend that I started doubting myself I was meant for this. Still, the moment that I passed the qualifications, all of my doubts disappeared. No matter how hard the future is, I'll still reach for it, My Precious Dream.

Hey guys! This is my very first entry for this book! This chapter unveils the reason that made me want to become an accountant and why it became my lifelong dream. I decided to narrate it since I am feeling kind of drained from all the subjects I have for this semester. I wanted to have another kind of motivation to help me go through with it since I only have two semesters left before I could finally graduate. As a proof that I am following the set of rules I made for myself, I'll also be posting a screenshot of my finished work before typing a note. The photo will be placed right after the note. Anyways, thank you for reading!
