It was just in time to see my father walk in. His hair was messily done, with little stray tufts being evident of his panic. My father's eyes were wide and shaky, quickly darting around the room to the seven men.

Even his clothing and posture radiated palpable levels of anxiousness. His collar was messed up and I could notice a few watery tears on his shirt. His bloodshot eyes changed suddenly as he looked like he was feigning cheer.

He took the seat next to my mother, not saying a word or looking at anyone as he sat himself and peered emptily at his plate. It was then that one of the seven men finally showed any emotion.
