Since that day in 1951 when Violet Dubois died, Violet Cullen had thrived.

Of course it had taken a little while for the whole idea of her new identity as a vampire to fully set in but it wasn't as difficult as one would have thought. Violet had wanted to be someone else her entire life, so becoming an entire different race seemed the closest to that that she could've possibly wanted.

Violet never found out what had happened to her mother after she woke up those three days later and neither did her new family. But Violet knew it was for the better, she hoped it was for the better. They left Paris quickly, escaping to Alaska with the Denali coven as they searched for somewhere else disappear to.  Violet even developed a mutation as a vampire, realising why she felt such a connection to plants when she discovered she was able to make one grow with a single glance after she awoke.

Violet also become incredibly well loved in the family, finding her place very easily as she came into herself and out of the shell she had once been in.

She and Edward spent many an hour talking about literature and music after finding their common ground in the arts and sometimes, when everyone was able to convince her to, Edward would always be the one playing the accompanying piano part when she danced.

Jasper loved her dearly, as though she was the sister he never had and was glad to have someone else to talk to about the trials and tribulations of adjusting to the animal food diet. Even though she irritated him at times, particularly when she attempted a god awful southern accent to tease him, he adored her and at times it was as though he had never lived a day without her.

His wife, Alice, of course immediately became fast friend with Violet and always had a shopping buddy or mannequin in her new sister. Violet always indulged Alice's creativity and even came directly to Alice after Rosalie proposed, begging her to plan their wedding. That was something Alice would never forget.

It was a quiet life, Violet loved every moment. She had a family that loved her dearly and she never had to see Paul ever again.

And, of course, she had her Rose.

Ever since she had woken up as a vampire, she had known it was Rosalie. That it would always be Rosalie. So a year after their arrival in Alaska, Violet and Rosalie became one and were married by Carlisle in the most extravagant way possible, a both had a flair for the dramatic before disappearing for five years for their honeymoon.

None of the rest of the Cullens were ever told where Violet and Rose went for this first five years as a married couple but whenever they brought it up, the wives would glance at each other mischievously and disappear from the room to their bedroom for many hours.

They learned to stop bringing it up.

Rosalie and Violet were never far apart. After everything they had gone through together, the idea of spending the rest of their time alone was practically horrifying. That as why you often saw Rosalie following Violet like a puppy (although you should never make that association to her face, for fear of many broken limbs. Ask Edward).

A few years after their returned from their honeymoon, the couple came across a bulky, dark haired man being attacked by a bear. Violet, being the woman she was and constantly needing to give her wife a heart attack, leapt into the fight and snapped the bears neck to save the boy Although she would feel a tremendous amount of guilt for killing the bear later, she would do it all over again for Emmet Cullen.
