ꜱᴛᴏᴋᴇʟᴇʏ"remind me why we decided to sign up for morning classes again?" i rolled my eyes, looking towards jahseh who was driving us to school.
"because the shit wit the studio- are you even listening to me stokeley goulbourne?" jahseh made a face, looking towards me. i sighed.
i honestly wasn't. the shit we were talking about was honestly irrelevant. not that i didn't care about it, but i didn't have the energy to.
"yeah, yeah, just keep yo eyes on the road, nigga." i slapped his arm, then quickly grabbed the steering wheel, shifting it to the left with force because we had started to drift over to the sidewalk. "and next time you ain driving." i scolded him.
he laughed. "bro, i'm a better driver than you."
"i've heard enough lies already today." i mumbled, slouching in the front seat, putting my hat over my eyes.
i must've drifted off because i was woken up to jahseh shaking me slightly telling me we were at school. i grabbed my backpack out the back seat, throwing it on over my shoulder.
we walked in, making our way to the office. i looked around seeing other students as well. one girl was lightskin and had brown curly hair. she was bad. i looked at her up and down, checking her out, and she looked down at her phone then back up and i saw her blushing. i heard someone clear their voice and i snapped my head back up.
"how may i help you, Mr. Goulbourne." Shannon, the receptionist said. i smiled at my old friend.
"nothing, just my schedule for my new adjustment." i said politely, and tapped on the desk patiently.
"ah, yes, you two will be much more of a handful now that you have classes with the regulars now." she smiled at both me and jahseh. we laughed at her comment.
she printed up both our new schedules for us. we scanned over them making sure everything was good. then said our goodbyes.
"please stay out of trouble you too. let me let you in a secret," she mumbled, getting serious. jahseh and i exchanged looks then leaned in closer. "the girls up in here are crazy about the both of you. i would steer clear because the things i hear them say are...unholy. just watch out, okay?" she said voice drowning in concern. we nodded.
"thank you, mrs. james, seriously." i said to her. jahseh nodded in agreement to me.
"have a good day now boys." she smiled waving and then greeting another student.
"glad she said sum because bitches do be crazy now a days. bro i told you this one bitch tried to say i got her pregnant? never seen the bitch in my life." i nodded remembering the story.
our lockers were the same so we stopped by those just making out who all was here. we know Dj had school in the morning. so, we tried to find him.
"ayeee," we heard him coming up to us. we dapped him up. "y'all tryna get breakfast or sum?"
"y'all niggas got breakfast innis bitch???" i asked, in awe. Dj looked at me weird then laughed.
"yeah, they be having different things. like french toasts, pancakes, and these good ass croissants bro." we nodded and followed him into the lunch room.
