It hadn't been any different then normal, you had gone to work, had lunch with your wife at a restaurant, and then gone home. You're a pro hero named Freezer Burn, you're fairly popular, but your girlfriend of 3 years...is way more so.
Yu is her name, and she's the hero known as Mt Lady. You hadn't been planning on proposing when you first met, but here you are...holding a box in your hand, while standing outside your home's door. You quietly walked in, sneaking into your living room and silently striding toward your bedroom. You had expected to see your girlfriend sprawled out on your bed, taking a nap after a long day at work, but...you had instead been traumatized.
Your girlfriend, straddling a large man, with her lips pressed to his neck. His hands were placed on her back, and her shirt was discarded nearby, instead only leaving her bra on. Her shorts are gonna as well, leaving only her panties on, and the man has them pulled down slightly. You gasp quietly, which was not enough for the man to notice, but Yu's head snapped to the side, her eyes meeting yours.
Yu: "Baby?" While her eyes go from cautious to horrified, yours brim with tears. Yu shoves off the man, quickly diving for her clothes and scrambling out apologies. You dart out of the hallway, hearing her rushed explanations switch to confused shouts and begs.
Yu: "BABY! WAIT! WHERE ARE YOU GOING?!" Yu screams, her voice getting quieter as you bolt out the front door, leaping into your car and sliding your key into the ignition. Yu comes barreling out of the house, her eyes frantically searching until she meets your gaze. Tears pour down her cheeks as she reaches a hand out, mouthing words to you.
Yu: "Please, don't do it. I love you."
You don't wait any longer, instead turning on the car and pulling out, before rocketing down the road, watching in your mirror as Yu sprints after you, her form quickly disappearing into the distance. You eventually arrive at your hero office, and enter, meeting the gaze of your boss, who greets you with a smile.
???: "Hey, you alright kid? Can't have you working if you're not at 100 percent. Especially since your last shift was a few hours ago." He says, crossing his arms and looking down at you with piercing eyes, flames dancing around his outfit as he speaks.
You: "I'll be fine Endeavor."
