The Last Chapter

Maihlysah ✧

As I finished the last letter I folded it and stacked it on top of the others. I grabbed them and put them in an envelope with an Eiffel Tower on it. (The cover picture) I'm obsessed with Eiffel towers and whenever Hayes would see something with an Eiffel Tower on it he would buy it.

I grabbed a little box and put the promise ring Hayes gave me on my birthday in the box. (At top or side) I closed it and put it in the envelope.

I tied some blue ribbon around the envelope and sighed, it was time. Hayes was on tour but he would be home in an hour and a half, that's more than enough time.

I walked downstairs and opened the front door. I walked over to Hayes' house which was next door. I dropped the envelope in front of his door and ran to my house. I went upstairs, into my bathroom keeping the door wide open. I grabbed the blade and stared at it.

It was finally time.

Hayes ✧ *an hour and a half later*

My mom pulled up the driveway and I got out the car, taking my bags with me. I walked up to my door and saw an envelope.

I grabbed it and looked at the name it was for me. I opened the door and dropped my bags. I went upstairs to my room and opened the envelope.

There were a bunch of letters and a box. I grabbed the box and opened it, inside was the promise ring I gave to Maihlysah. Why would she give me this?

I grabbed the letter that said 'first'. I read it and continued to read the following letters. I was on the 7th letter when I heard sirens. She actually did it?

I dropped the letter and ran downstairs my mom yelling after me while I ran over to her house. I slammed open the door and as I did the ambulance pulled up on the curb. I ran to her room and into her bathroom.

She was lying there with blood all over herself. Her mom by her side crying, it was most likely fake crying. My mom rushed in and saw Maihlysah. She gasped and put her hand over her mouth.

I just stood there, staring at her, my eyes watering. "Hayes, honey." My mom began and I shook my head.

"It was her fault!" I yelled pointing at her mom. She looked up at me shocked. "me?" She asks innocently. "Yes you! You know exactly what you did!" I yell at her. "Hayes, calm down." my mom tried rubbing my back.

I pull away and yell,"HER MOM BEAT HER! THATS WHY SHE KILLED HERSELF!!!" They both looked at me. My mom turned to Maih's mom and asked,"Is that true?" She looked down and nodded. "I regret it now." Her voice cracks. "of course you regret it when your daughters dead!"

"Hayes, please don't yell." My mom puts a hand against my chest. "I can't! The love of my life is dead! She killed herself and I didn't even know she was depressed, I'm so stupid!" The paramedics came rushing in with a gurney.

They made us leave but I got one last glimpse of her, my first and only love. Maihlysah Olivia McHale.

We went outside her house and Nash was there. "Im sorry bro." I started sobbing and Nash pulled me into a hug. I heard wheels rolling so I look up and see her body in a black bag, being zipped up. Why did I let her leave?

Once the ambulance left I was full on sobbing my heart out, still hugging Nash. He's the best brother I could ever ask for. After standing there for 5 minutes, I pulled away and walked to my house still crying a bit.

I read the rest of the letters while crying. She was pregnant, I let her kill herself while she was pregnant. I held the picture she gave me of her in my hand. She's so beautiful, I wish I can be holding her right now.

I still and will always love Maihlysah Olivia McHale. ✧
