Most stories of demigods follow a predictable pattern, but mine is different. I arrived at Camp Half-Blood at the age of eight, escaping from the clutches of my abusive "mother." My name is (Y/N) (L/N), and this is MY story.
My life was filled with torment and abuse, constantly blamed for everything that went wrong in my "mother's" life. But it was a particular incident that pushed her over the edge. She carved deep wounds into my young body, relishing in my terror and pain. In that moment, I knew I had to escape.
Summoning every ounce of courage and strength i had left within me, I hastily gathered my belongings and tended to my wounds as best as I could. After countless days had slipped by, I found myself aimlessly wandering the icy streets of Virginia. My thoughts raced, realizing the urgency of acquiring fresh bandages to cover my wounds. By some miraculous twist of fate, I had stumbled upon a small group of individuals, making their way towards a nearby hospital.
Without a second thought, I had hastened my steps, seamlessly blending into their ranks as we entered the medical facility together. Swiftly parting ways from the cluster, I scoured the corridors until I chanced upon an unoccupied room. In a flurry of movement, I managed to procure sterile medical supplies and a set of pristine garments, finally finding a momentary sanctuary in this unexpected haven.
As I finally secured what I had been desperately searching for, a surge of urgency propelled me towards the exit. Stepping out of the room, I hurriedly made my way to the hospital entrance, ready to leave everything behind. But just as I began to walk away, a commanding voice pierced through the air, compelling me to halt. Startled, I turned my head towards the sound, wincing from the lingering pain coursing through my body. To my astonishment, a security guard was steadily approaching. My instinct kicked in, and without a moment's hesitation, I had swiftly changed direction, breaking into a sprint as I fled from the area. Seeking refuge in a random alleyway, I pressed my forehead against the cool wall, catching my breath and attempting to calm my racing heart.
Suddenly, an eerie hissing sound echoed around me. Peering down one side of the alley, I had found nothing amiss, only to be met with a chilling sight on the other side. An elderly woman stood there, her gaze fixed upon me. Her tongue flicked out like that of a serpent, sending shivers of fear down my spine. In a low, parched tone, she uttered words that froze me in terror, "What do we have here? A lonely little Half-blood. I shall savour your demise, child, relishing in the taste of your flesh." Panic surged through my veins, and instinctively, I had begun to back away before swiftly turning on my heels and sprinting away from the menacing presence. Driven by sheer determination, I managed to escape.
And so, with a heavy heart and a determined spirit, I continued my journey.
In my haste, I encountered a menacing presence in an alley. An elderly woman with a snake-like tongue threatened to feast upon me. Fear consumed me as I ran for my life, eventually finding safety in an abandoned house for the night.
Weeks later, a mysterious force guided me through a dense forest. It was there that I met Annabeth, Luke, and Thalia, who would forever change my path. Together, we travelled to New York on the way there, and both Luke and Thalia taught me how to fight with a knife. Amidst our journey, we shared our stories and formed a deep connection.
As fate would have it, we crossed paths with Grover, a satyr who led us to Camp Half-Blood. Along the way, Thalia and I grew closer, though I couldn't understand the emotions swirling within me. Our arrival at the camp was met with an attack from monsters. In the chaos, Thalia fought bravely but was struck down. I saw this and was overwhelmed with grief and anger, I had unleashed a power I didn't know I had, defeating the monsters. As I cradled Thalia in my arms, tears streaming down my face, before collapsing from exhaustion.
When I awoke a few hours later to see both Annabeth and Luke near the bed that i was resting in, my heart was still heavy with sorrow. I was introduced to an individual named Chiron by both Annabeth and Luke. In our encounter, he unveiled knowledge about the Gods, demigods, and the very sanctuary that i was in. Moreover, I had discovered the sequence of events that unfolded after my unconsciousness that had enveloped me, causing tears to stream down my face as I absorbed the painful truth. In that vulnerable moment, I was being comforted in the presence of both Annabeth and Luke.
As time ticked by, our conversation began to flow, and they told me that their godlyparents claimed them. Annabeth had proudly acknowledged that she was claimed by Athena, while Luke told me that Hermes had claimed. Meanwhile, I found myself in a state of limbo, that i was unclaimed and uncertain of the path Fate had in store for me.
(Hey guys, I hope you enjoy this first part. I didn't want to go into too much detail with everything as I'm planning on revealing more later in the story. the next part will be posted next weekend)
(Just a heads up I have changed everyone's age, so the prophecy will happen when they turn 18. Not 16)
