One fine night...
sai was busy with her studies, virat did not return home..
Everybody finished dinner but sai brought her and virat's food to her room...
It was 12 at night.. virat came and saw sai slept while studying...she slept on the chair.. her head was in a bad posture...
V: yeh ladki bhi nah! Sai... sai..
S: ohh virat sir aap agaye...Aahhhh!!
She was unable to move her head because of the bad sleeping posture...
V: ahh sambhalke.. zyada dard ho raha hai? Woh balm kaha hai sai?
S: mai thik hu.. aap jake fresh ho kar aiye.. mai khana lagati hu...
V: sai tumne firse nahi khaya? Yeh kya hai sai? Kyun apne sehed ke upar itna pressure de rahe ho?
S: uhhh bap re bap.. kitna sawal.. aap jaiye na fresh ho kar aiye.. mere pet me chuha daur raha hai
Virat came from the washroom...
He took the plate, ate silently, did not say anything...sai noticed this...
S: ab kya hua? Kuch bol kyun nahi rahe hai aap?
V: kuch nahi.. bolu to bhi problem chup rahu to bhi problem... tum khao chup chap...
He finished his dinner.. went to the bed and pretended to sleep...he loved to eat together with sai but didn't want to keep her waiting like this...
Sai kept the plates in the kitchen and came near virat... she switched off the lights, leaned over him and was slowly caressing his hair...
S: kya hua?
Virat did not respond...
S: kya hua virat sir? Mujhse nahi baat karenge?
V: tum meri baat sunti ho ? Mai kyun baat karu? So jao..
S: kabhi kabhi na aap ekdam chote bacho jaise ho jate hai... mai apki kaunsi baat nahi mani?
V: Achha?? topper ho na bhul kaise jati ho?
S: aap boliye mai kaunsi baat nahi suni!
V: yeh jo har roz tum bina khana khake mera wait karte ho sai... i appreciate your care sai but tum aise khali pet itne raat tak kyun rehti ho? Khana khao aur phir wait karo na... aj mai 12 baje aya kaal to do baj sakte hai na aur mai lautu hi na to tum raat bhar bina khana khaye rahogi?
S: yeh kaisi baat hui mai lautu hi na to haan?? Dekhiye aise baat karenge to mai bhi katti ho jaungi aapse...
Aur mujhe koi problem nahi hota virat sir... agar mujhe bahat tej bhuk lagta hai to mai kha hi leti hu na.. yeh to apne nahi bola...
V: nahi tum promise karo ki tum sabke sath hi khana kha logi... mera wait nahi karogi aise.. agar mai jaldi agaya tab hum sath me dinner karenge ok?
S: not okk.. so jaiye...
V: tum nahi sudhrogi sai.. achha yeh batao aj kal yeh kaun manta hai? Yeh sab purane khayal hai na ki patni wait karegi pati ki bina khana khaye... tum itni modern soch wali ladki ho kar bhi yeh sab mante ho?
S: nahi virat sir.. mai yeh nahi manti.. mai sirf apke sath eksath dinner karna chahti hu.. kisike pressure me ake apki wait nahi karti... aur ap jante ho mera bhukh lage to mai kha hi leti hu....
V: (smile) tumse baato me koi nahi jit sakta...
S: woh to hai..gussa kam huyi nah? chaliye so jaiye..
V: sai tumhara exam kaal kitne baje hai?
S: apko yaad hai?
V: obviously... tum padhai kar rahe ho yeah nahi yeh mai nahi dekhunga?
S: (laugh) haan haan thik hai... kaal exam 10 baje hai... to mai 9 baje ghar se nikal jaungi...
V: haan mai tumhe drop kar dunga...
S: okk.. so jaiye.. mujhe jaldi uthna bhi hai...
V: good night sai...aur all the best for your exam
Sai hugged him...
S: thank you virat sir
In the morning...
Sai woke up and saw virat was not there in the room... she came downstairs and found that nobody knew where virat was...she came to her room, took her phone to call virat and saw a msg from him... virat wrote he had to go to police station in the midnight when she was sleeping.. so he didn't tell her, that's why messaging her...
Sai:( monologue) virat sir aap ne kaha tha ki aap aj mujhe college chhod ne jayenge.. aur aj hi apka zaroori kam agaya...
She became sad but realised it was his duty.. he couldn't do anything...
At dinning table...
Ash: sai virat kaha hai pata chala?
S: nahi aai.. abhi kaha hai nahi pata but unhone subhe hi msg kiya ki police station urgent jana pada..
Ash: achha.. tum aao nasta karlo.. tumhe bhi to college jana hai...aao...
P: haan haan aao.. virat ki maharani college jayegi aur hum to uska dasi hai.. seva karte rahenge...
K: khandoba koi aisa karo ki yeh jangli mulgi ki college jana bandh ho jaye...
Sai didn't say anything... now she was sad only because virat was not there...she finished her breakfast, went to her room...Ashwini didn't allow her to do anything in kitchen since it was her exam day...
In the meantime she called virat 3 to 4 times but he did not pick up.. this made sai tensed... she then called DIG sir to confirm but dig sir too did not respond... sai did not know anyone personally from virat's office... she became restless since virat was not picking up her calls... she called him at least 20 times but could not trace him...
