Story - Nomin

A new chapter

Jaemin was going back home after school.
He sat down on a bench, which was near the huge river.
It was calming and soothing.
Jaemin suddenly remembered the book. He was informed that he'd be able to read a new chapter today.
He opened the book...
He saw the same blank pages he saw on previous days....
But then....

"Oppa!" Jaemin raised his head.
It wasn't a call for him.
He saw a young girl following a tall, fair skinned boy who was completely ignoring her.
"Wait for me! Aaa! Oppa!"
The boy stopped and sighed.
"What?" He had a surprisingly deep voice than Jaemin expected.
Then he sees the girl wrapping her hands around the said boy's arm but Jaemin sees that the boy was kind of uncomfortable.
"Let me go"
"Aaaaa~ please don't say so! I'm your fiancé after all. In the near future, I'll be your bride and then wife!" The girl was positive.
"Tch~" He rolled his eyes.
"Oppa, shall we sit there?" Jaemin's eyes widened as he saw the girl pointing where he was sitting.
Jaemin closed his mouth, he was opening from the beginning because of the concentration he had on the couple's conversation.
"Are you sure?" The boy asked.
"Yup!" The girl answered and ran towards the bench.
She then sat right on top of Jaemin which made Jaemin gasp. But to his surprise,

They could go through Jaemin's body. It was like..... Jaemin was a hologram!
Jaemin can't believe what's happening.

'what the hell? Am I glitching? How? Huh?'  Jaemin stood up with a huge confusion.

Then the boy sat right next to the girl, but a few inches away from her.
The girl got closer to him.
Jaemin felt like he was third wheeling.

"Oppa, shall we go watch a movie tonight?"
"I'm busy"
"You're always busy. What about me?"
The boy didn't answer.

Jaemin was confused so he looked around while standing right in front of the couple but invisibly to them.

He looked away for two seconds and then...

"Lee JeNo, you bastard!"
A furious voice made Jaemin surprise.

The boy turned and three males started to punch him. They pushed the boy on the ground and stomped on him.
The girl was screaming for help.

Jaemin wanted to help.... Maybe to stop them fighting.
He tried to grab one of the male but he couldn't do it. He would go through them.
He tried to talk... But he quickly understood that neither they could feel him nor hear him.
He couldn't do anything but watch those people fight on the ground.

Jaemin sometimes enjoys other people's fights.

After few minutes of them fighting, a police officer arrived and stopped the males punching the boy.
They ran away without saying anything except, "you'll see what happens next time"

According to what those males were yelling, Jaemin understood that they were fighting for the girl. But the girl seems to be supporting to the boy named JeNo...

'wait, where did I hear that name... It's kind of familiar-'
And Jaemin's jaw dropped when he remembered that it was the same name the character had... In the book he was reading before.

Everything started to make sense in a weird way.
'how the hell did I find this JeNo guy, who I've never seen before, right after I opened the book? And how did I become a ... hologram like person?' Jaemin was checking his hands. They looked like old TV screen effects were applied on them.

That was weird but what can he do?

"Are you okay?" The girl asked from Jeno.
"Yes I am, Karina" The boy nodded.

Jaemin now confirmed that they both were in the story he was reading.

"I'm so sorry-" the girl hugged Jeno tightly and started to cry.
"Don't be sorry! It's fine." He said even though he has so many scratches and bruises on him.
"Let's go get some medicine" the girl tried to drag the boy but
"Karina, I think you should go home now. They might be watching us still. They can hurt you anytime."
"But.... I want to be with you"
"It's not the right time, Karina"
JeNo called Karina's family to ask a driver to come and take her home.
After leaving  her to their driver, JeNo turned back and looked where Jaemin was standing.
'why is he staring at me? Hmm... Maybe he is seeing through me. I'm invisible right now....' Jaemin rolled his eyes and walked away and started to cross the road when he suddenly saw a vehicle approaching him to hit him.
He was too late, The vehicle was right in front of him when he noticed.
It actually was not there... It's like that thing appeared right in front of him just in a second.
Jaemin's heart felt a fire inside and was too startled.

In the next scene he was on the bench, again....
His heart was beating so fast ... He held his chest and opened his mouth to catch some breath...
After few seconds , he looked around.
No one was there,
Not Jeno,
Not the vehicle...
He sat there for a few more minutes more, confused...
He suddenly remembered the book and turned pages.
He couldn't believe it.
Everything he saw, everything happened before was written on it, except his appearance.
The accident thing which was about to happen,
It was written like...
*The book*

JeNo turned around after he sent Karina home.
He turned around and saw the beautiful view of the sunset.
It was refreshing.
He sighed and turned back towards the road to take a taxi.
Suddenly he saw a Vehicle going crazy on the road.
It hit the light pole right next to Jeno. Jeno was startled and went to see if the driver was okay...
But surprisingly,
There was no one inside the car.

*end of the scene*

The third chapter ends like this.
As I already informed the chapters are small.
But I think it will be an enjoyable story to read.
This will have more chapters than expected haha!
