Chapter 7

Eleanor Pov

I just woke up. I can see my dad sitting next to me. I'm laying in a hospital bed. I have pipes everywhere. I notice how my knee is destroyed and it hurt. I turn to see my dad. He's looking at me with a smile and tears.

- Hey Sweetheart! How are you?
- I can say good! What day is it?
- 2 days after your crash
- 2 days!?
- Yeah...

I'm looking around, trying to remember what happened.

- Lando is suppose to pass in an hour

I'm not answering, searching my mind when a doctor enter in my room.

- Hi Mrs Wolff, I'm doctor Anderson
- Hi. I look very lost.
- So how do you feel?
- Confuse, lost and tired
- And about your knee?
- It starts to hurt
- Good! We'll do a radiography
- When? Ask my dad
- I talk with doctor Wilson and it must be later
- Good!
- I let you sleep, see you later Mrs Wolff.
- See tou later

The doctor leaves my room and I can't feel my dad's hand taking mine.

- It gonna be okay! I promise you

My dad knows how I hate the hospital. I don't feel safe in here.

I'm eating when someone enter in my room, Lando. He has flowers and a smile. My dad gets up and let us alone. He takes a seat and put the flowers away.

- Hey love! How are you?
- Lan! I can't tell I'm perfectly okay

He smiles at me and gives me a letter.

- What it is? I ask confuse
- It's not from me

I start to read the letter.

Hey El!
Im writing you cause I'm couldn't stay. When we hit each other and saw you don't come out I was sure I killed you. I feel so guilty and I understand if you don't want to accept my apologies. I'm so sorry, loosing you would be the hardest thing. Again I'm sorry and I love you xxx

Lando takes my hand and wipe my tears. I put the letter away and look at Lando.

- He feels so guilty

I'm not answering,  finish my lunch when the doctor comes back.

- It's time!
- Yeah sure

Lando kiss my forehead and join my dad. The doctor brings me to the radiography.

The radio is finish and they take me back to my room. Lando and my dad are there.

- The radio says that your knee is destroys. You'll need surgery and 6 months of rest. No driving anymore

What no driving anymore!?

- No driving anymore!?
- For 6 months and we gonna see after

I can't believe! Just because Charles hits my car. I can see how sad are my dad and Lando.

- I'll tell Christian about that don't worry sweetheart
- But I just start my career..
- I know but if the doctor said it we need to respect it
- Oh and your operation is tomorrow morning. If everything goes well, you can go home in the afternoon

I smile to the doctor and he leaves the room. Lando comes closer to me and put his hands in my hair. Nobody speak. We can't believe it!

April 5th
I just wake up from my knee operation. I see Susie and my little brother smiling at me.

- Hey Eleanor! How are you feeling?
- Tired
- Hey El!
- Hey Buddy!
Jake comes closer and hugs me.

- Toto couldn't stay so we're here for you!
- Thank you Susie, I appreciate it

I play with Jake when the doctor comes.

- Mrs Wolff, it's time!

I'm smiling at him and change myself. Here we are, out of the hospital. The sun destroys my eyes.

We're in the plane to Monaco. I sleep all the way and when I enter my house, I go into my bed.

April 19th
It's been 2 weeks I'm not moving. Lando canes every day with Toto and Jack. Tomorrow I'll see Charles for the first time after my crash. Today I decide to go to the gym. No way I'll do nothing for two months.

I'm doing some exercises when my phone starts to ring. I see my dad's number.

Yeah?
You're not at your house?
No! I'm at the gym
Ella!!
What!?
The doctor don't want you to do sports
I know but I'm obligated! Don't worry I'm careful
I'm coming to search you
I'm not finish!!

Arghhh! I hate when he's doing this. I know is scared for me but I'm a grown up.

I'm in my dad's car and we're going to my house. We eat and we go to sleep.
