One Day Later. . .
Wilbur woke up slowly, the sun just beginning to poke through the window in their room. Quackity laid between his arms curled up to him, his head resting on his chest as he quietly slept, looking at peace for the first time in a long time. Wilbur brought the avian closer to himself with a smile, letting his head rest on the smallers head as he looked out the window. He still couldn’t believe that they were stuck in another universe and for how long he still didn’t know. Quackity, he was sure, was very worried about that part. He had a country to run, friends to get back to.
Wilbur had people to get back to as well, Tommy, his little brother, being one of them. He sighed, letting his eyes close once again to maybe catch a little more sleep, as he hadn’t been able to really sleep the past few days. That was his plan until the raven between his arms began to wake up, shifting out of his position to sit up.
Wilbur opened his eyes to see Quackity yawn, looking back at Wilbur with sleepy eyes. “Morning.” Wilbur whispered out, letting his arms unwrap themselves from Quackity’s form. Quackity crawled back to his previous position, laying his head once again against Wilbur’s chest. His eyes lazily opened and closed, wings twitching and stretching behind him as he tried to blink the sleep away.
“Morning.” Wilbur let one of his hands run through Quackity’s hair once again, a content hum leaving the male's throat as his eyes once again closed. It was a long time before either spoke, both taking in the peaceful morning the two were able to share together. It wasn’t common in their universe, and so the two greeted it with open arms. Quackity eventually did speak, his eyes once again opening as he observed the room. “We’re still here.” Wilbur nodded in agreement, the raven letting out a slightly annoyed sigh.
“We’ll figure out how to get back, but until then, it seems we’re stuck here.” Wilbur finally lifts himself out of his laying position but pauses when Quackity grabs ahold of his sweater, blue eyes staring at him as his lips form a frown.
“Where are you going?” Wilbur chuckles, his own hand grabbing onto Quackity’s own that still held a death grip on his shirt. Quackity’s grip slipped just enough to allow Wilbur to pry it away, holding onto the man's hand with a small squeeze. He doesn't understand why he was allowed to be so domestic with him still, just he was soaking it up while he still could.
“I’m going to go and find something to eat, and track down other Wilbur to apologize for what happened last night.” Quackity looked confused at first at Wilbur’s last explanation, but realization settled in, and an embarrassed hue took over the man's face. He let go of Wilbur’s hand, shoving his face into the nearest pillow with a groan. Wilbur laughed at Quackity’s reaction, lifting himself from the bed and grabbing ahold of his trenchcoat that still sat on the floor after last night's activities.
He was getting ready to leave the room, fixing up his appearance as much as he could before opening the door, but stopped in his tracks at the sight of other Wilbur, who looked to be getting ready to knock this time. Wilbur raised a brow, crossing his arms as the other sheepishly smiled. “Looks like you finally figured out how to knock, huh?” The other Wilbur laughed, scratching the back of his head as he averted eye contact.
“Yeah…” Wilbur sighs, looking behind himself to see Quackity watching the two, yet still laying on the bed looking very comfortable. His eyes were watching though, looking from one Wilbur to the other, his wings twitching behind him. Wilbur looked back towards the other Wilbur, walking out of the room and shutting the door behind him.
“Look, about last night…” Other Wilbur’s eyes widened, quickly interrupting him before he could finish.
“I’m sorry.” Wilbur stared at him, cocking his head to the side in a questioning way.
