I couldn't believe my eyes. My boyfriends best friend was moving in next door and that meant he would be over all the time. I would have no excuse to get away from him if I had to and he would come over whenever and not have to worry about anyone knowing. That is if I even ever had to worry about that...

"What do you mean our schedules would collide!?" I heard Linda scream and I moved to my door and sank to the ground.

"Linda, we've gone through this before. You have to take care of Jennifer, you cant just drop your responsiblitly and come with me, you have things here you have to do." He told her calmly and I frowned.

"How could you bring her name up in this situation! She is a senior and can take care of herself!" She yelled at him and I heard him sigh.

"Just stop Linda, your making a fool of yourself." He told her and I decided I couldn't handle it. I grabbed my keys and went to my window looking for the rope that I used to get out. I grabbed the rope and slid down making sure no one was out front, I ran over to my car and got in. A few minutes later I pulled into the local park and went to my usual spot in the wet grass. I pulled off my jacket and threw it in the tree along with my shoes and socks. I pulled the hidden soccer ball from the bushes and began kicking around the park.

"Hey, babe." I jumped and turned to find Jaz standing there.

"Jaz, what are you doing here?" I asked trying to seem calm.

"Why are you so jumpy, Jenna?" He asked putting his hand on my shoulder.

"I'm not jumpy, Jaz." I told him shaking his hand off my shoulder.

"Hey, what did I tell you last time we spoke!?" He said grabbing my wrist and twisting it.

"Ah, shit! I'm s-sor-sorry babe!" I cried falling to my knee's with tears running down my cheek.

"That's better, Jenny." He said letting go of my wrist and pulling me up to him. He went to kiss me but I turned my face letting him kiss my cheek.

"What the fuck is that about Jen?" He asked grabbing my chin and forcing my to look into his eyes.

"I'm sick." I told him and he frowned.

"Not kissing me and lying. I thought your mother taught you better than that. Oh, I forgot. She's too busy getting drunk and laid to care." He spat in my face and turned my face from him trying to not let him see the tears.

"How did I ever fall for you? Your so lame." He told me pushing me down into the grass and picking up my soccer ball.

"I'm staying at Dylan's for awhile so I will see you at home babe." He said throwing the ball and walking up to his car before pulling away. As soon as he was gone I began sobbing quietly as I looked up at the stars.

"He doesn't understand. He never will understand." I told myself as I gathered my things and began driving home dreading what waited for me at home. As I pulled in I turned my car off and snuck back over to the side of my house to climb back in, but the rope was not down.

"What? Dam." I whispered grabbing the tree limbs and pulling myself into the tree and to my window. There was a three foot gap between my window and the tree but and five foot gap between either window.

"Hey, babe need help?" I turned to see Jaz standing in Dylan's window holding a beer in one hand and a girls waist in the other.

"No, Jaz. Go away." I told him turning to reach for the window.

"Excuse me? You don't talk to me that way, bitch!" He yelled and I turned to see him push the girl to the side and reach for a tree limb.

"Shit!" I cried turning and jumping without looking back. Once on safe ground I turned closing my window and curtains and running over to my door. I could hear Jaz screaming and hitting the window but I couldn't tell if he was going to break it.

"Open the window babe!" He screamed and I covered my ears praying he wouldn't make it through. I couldn't help crying as I thought about what he would do to me if he made it through, so I stopped thinking and sprung to action. I went through my room turning off all the lights and going into my closet to hide from him. He had done this plenty times but now that Dylan lived next door he could be there all night and maybe even get in. The plan was to wait him out and if I had to sleep in the closet I had already made a palet and had pillows.

"Jenny, let me in before I brake the window." He said in a calm voice and I grabbed my pillow and hugged it tightly. I took a deep breath and listened as the noise of shattering glass came through.

"Jennifer!" He screamed and I pushed farther into my closet to get away and sobbed silently.

"Come out come out where ever you are." He played but I knew when he found me I was a goner.

"Jennifer, nobody's here to save you, and if you don't come out I will kill you but if you come out I promise we can talk and I won't be mad." He said and I slowly crept out of my closet.

"Hey, there you are." He greeted me and smiled before raising his hand in the air and slapping me. Against the impact I feel into my bedroom door and let out a blood curtling scream.

"What makes you think I would treat you nicley after what you said toe out there!?" He yelled and I began to sob.

"Please, stop!" I cried and he shook his head. He grabbed my hair and lifted my into the air and threw me against the wall.

"Ahh, J-j-jaz. Please." I looked up only to see his fists. That's when the memories flooded back, the first time we had met, and the first time he had beaten me and I tried to run and how he had found me the next day at school he found my and raped me in the boys locker room.
