Jake's POV:

   "Hey grandma" I said as soon as I saw my grandmother on the sofa.
"Hey Jake...ready for work already?" Grandma asked me.
I know what y'all might have been thinking...why's a 25 year old man still living with his grandma the truth is...my grandma's living with me cause she's the only family I've ever had since my parents died.
"Yes grandma...if I don't go to work...who's going to take care of the business?" I asked as I sat on the dining table...not table per say...I meant the chair.
"Well, you have a secretary and a best friend there...why can't you spend time with your grandma?"
"Grandma...do you need something from me?" I ask her as this was very typical of her.
" well...we need to talk urgently"
" Grandma...I'm late for work...I can't discuss anything right now...how bout when I'm back?" I asked as I munched on my sandwich.
" Since you despise me so much...what do I say?" Grandma said sounding like an abandoned 5 year old.
" Mi Amore...I'll be back home as soon as possible I promise" I said hugging her from behind.
"OK if you say so" Grandma said grabbing her phone.
"Alright grandma...I'll see you later...bye"
"Bye Jay" Grandma said as I immediately got into my Black Porsche.
I drove to my office or should I say empire in total silence...it's good to just focus without any distraction...as soon as I got down from my car I saw Terrence my best friend.
"Hey Jake...what did your grandma do this time?" He asked as soon as I met him...'how did he know?'
"She said she wants to have a talk with me"
"Oh I know what she wants alright...she wants to talk about you getting a family...trust me"
"I don't think so Terrence...let's go in" I said to him.
"You'll see Jake...you'll see" he said as we stepped into my company's building.
Cole's development company is one of the best programming and development company in New York...I built it when I was 19 and I've been making lot's of money...I'm not trying to brag tho.
It's a skyscraper with marble floors...the elevator and escalator is the best and not to talk of my office...anyways I'm here for work not to give y'all an oral description of my empire.
"Good morning Sir...Mike Jeremy the director of M & J's investment group called asking for a meeting today by 12:00 pm" Diane my personal secretary said...she really knows her job.
"OK...arrange that. Are the files for the meeting with Barker's company at 9:00 am ready?" I asked
"Yes sir...I'll bring them to your office ASAP" she said arranging it.
"Good" I said walking into my office.
"So Diane's really good at her job" Terrence who I just realized was still with me spoke.
"Yeah...she does and aren't you supposed to be in the office Mr. Slattery?" I asked Terrence in my professional voice.
"Professional huh?" Terrence sighed as he went to his office.
Just as I sat down on my chair in the office...I heard a knock...from the glass door I saw it was Diane.
"Come in" I spoke.
"Sir these are the files and projects you requested for" she said looking down.
"Good...I'll glance through them" I said opening one of the files.
"Sir...would you like a coffee?" She asked me.
"Sure...you know how I like my coffee"
"Yes sir...with milk in it" Diane said leaving.
I looked at the time 8:15am...Diane entered with my coffee dropping it on the table.
"Sir...do you need any other thing?" She asked.
"Get the meeting conference room ready and set up all the equipments we need" I told her and she nodded and left my office immediately.
I sipped my coffee as soon as possible and put on my professional face I arranged the black suit and tie I wore...looked at the time 8:50 I picked up the files from the table and head straight to the conference room...I love being punctual I hate being late that doesn't show any sign of discipline.
As soon as I got in there I saw everything we need for the presentation are all set...I sat down on my chair which was at the extreme end of the long conference table...just gotta wait for 5 more minutes if they're not here by then...that means no meeting for them today...my schedule's tight already...just managed to fix M&J's investment group there cause we need a business partnership with them.
Soon enough the Barkers ambassadors arrived earlier than expected...the meeting went smoothly and lucky for them we made a business deal...now I just have to wait for M&J's investment group just then Diane came in looking worried.
"Sir...we have a problem" she said sounding worried.
"What's that?" I asked not caring much.
"It's your grandmother sir" she said.
"What happened to her!?" I yelled standing up.
"Her doctor called the office and said it was an emergency and you need to go home ASAP" she spoke.
"OK...postpone the meeting with M&J's investment group and tell Terrence he's in charge" I said rushing out of the room.
As soon as I got home I quickly rushed inside what I saw next startled me...my grandma who they claim was an emergency was sitting on the sofa smiling at me...did Diane lie to me?
"No, she didn't lie to you" Grandma spoke....how did she know what I was thinking?
"Grandma...what happened to you" I asked scared and out of breath.
"Nothing Jay...you promised you'll be back home early but I didn't see you...so I decided to just do that...it was the best option I had" Grandma said like it was a normal thing.
"Grandma you made me leave my company because of this?...you're really a drama queen" I said as I was relaxed a little.
"Sit Jay so we can discuss" she said patting the space beside her...I did as she told me before she continued "look Jake...I'm getting old each day...I really wish your parents were here so they could see what a fine young man you've grown up to be...so independent, caring, handsome, rich and what not...but son if your parents were here you'd do anything they'd ask of you trust me because you'll love them...they loved you sooo much that they'd do anything for you before they died...look at me Jake I have nobody except you...I had the privilege of seeing you grow up, graduate, become independent, build your very own company, wealthy, strong and more but Jake there's one more thing I want to see you be...that is a family man...I want to see your lovely wife...she should be perfect like your mother and your kids Jake I've lived to see you grow up as my son and grandson...please Jake do this for me" grandma spoke with tears in her eyes.
"Grandma, I don't want to settle down...maybe I will but definitely not now" I said but grandma smiled.
"Oh Jake...I knew you'd say this so I came very much prepared...see this?" Grandma said holding all the keys to my cars...wait...how did she get the key to my Porsche right now?
"Grandma how do you expect me to go to work tomorrow?" I said confused.
"Take a lift or a taxi I don't really care...not until I see my future granddaughter in law and great grandchildren..I've said it all" she said taking the keys and walking out of the house. I immediately threw my suit on the floor angrily.
"Jake...your Nana's right...if I were in her shoes I'd do the same thing" Maria our house keeper and cook told me honestly instead I went into my room...I wanted to call Terrence but realized I left him in charge of my company 'I really hope he doesn't mess things up'.
After hours of sleeping...I heard my phone ring, I looked at the caller ID and answered the call.
"Hey bro,you good?" He asked.
"Yes,just woke up" I answered yawning.
"Good, let's meet at my dad's bar" he said.
