A loud rumble wakes me up from my deep sleep. I look around and it's still dark outside. The rain sounds became louder as the droplets rushed down harder from the dark sky. I shiver, when I felt a gust of cool air come from the ceiling vent. It got cold at night when it rained in California. Hot during the day and freezing cold at night. Never got the climate here.
I glanced up and Amelia was nowhere's to be seen. I sit up and noticed that she was rolled over on the other side of her bed. Soft snores escape her, as her back rose up and down in a soothing rhythmic pattern. My eyes traveled down her balled up body. Her hips dipped showing off her curves under the comforter.
A flash of light, lit up her room and moments later another loud crash erupts. My head snaps to Amelia when she jumps from her sleep. She moans and looks towards her window. A curse leaves her mouth and I chuckle at the tone.
She freezes, as she turns and looks at me. Her eyes squint from the low light of her nightlight.
"Jungkook?" She asks her voice an octave lower thank usual.
I wiggle my fingers at her, "Hello there." I wink.
She rolls her eyes and plopped back down. I see her body shudder of the coolness of her room.
"When did it get so cold in here?" She asks, as she brings her covers closer to her chin.
I shrug my shoulders, as I brought my blanket up to my chin, "I was wondering the same thing." I mumble.
Amelia's eyes are on me. Her eyes roam me as she notices the goosebumps on my shoulders. Her eyes land back to my dark brown irises and pulled back her blanket as she scoots over more away from me.
"Come here." She says, as she pats the spot she was once laying in.
I quickly get up leaving my bedding and blanket as I climb into her warm bed. I shudder at the warmth of her body heat, as I settle into her Queen size bed. Amelia scoots towards me and presses her face against my clothed chest. Her cold nose presses against my warm chest. My heart thumps at the touch. My hand pushes back the hair that fell in her face and pushed it behind her ear.
She pulls back and looks up at me, "I'm sorry. It's just really cold in here." She apologizes, shuddering as she moves closer to me.
I couldn't help but to chuckle as I brought her closer to me. Her head rests on my chest as she wrapped her arm around my waist. She settles into me and sighs, "You are so warm." She smiles.
I look down at her and she looks so peaceful. She shifts and somehow got closer to me. My arm wraps around her back as my hand rests on her comfort covered hips. This feels right. Her being next to me. I want this so much. Justine is right. Why am I being hesitant with her? Is it really our friendship I'm worrying about or is it I'm so petrified to actually lose her in general.
After some time of my mental battle, soft snores snap me out of it. A soft smile forms on my lips at the sight. For many years I've seen her in this sight but now, she's so beautiful. I push back her dark brown hair out of her face, as I brushed against her soft skin. I dip down and placed my lips against her temple.
She shifts in her sleep with a soft smile on her lips and soon after soft snores reappear. Watching her sleep, in a non creepy way, is soothing. Somewhere between her soft snores and the rain, I've fallen into my own slumber.

This morning went better than yesterday. Amelia and I made it to school a little earlier than yesterday. Today, she's wearing a solid light green dress that hugs her curves in all the right places, a cream cardigan to cover her arms, and some Sadie loafers. Her hair was down with soft curls at the end flowing down her back. She added a white headband to push back her bangs or any other loose hair.
Now, I was sitting in Mr. Stewart's Biology class learning about the human anatomy. I was surrounded by Socs and other students as the old man lectured on about the reproduction system. As if something was on my side the bell rings. I'm out of my desk rushing into the already crowded hallway. Popping my jacket collar and smoothing out my slick black hair I made my way to a certain curvy girl.
As I turn the corner, I stop in my tracks. My face falters at the sight in front of me. Fred Richards is leaning against Amelia's locker smiling down at her. My chest tightens at the bright smile she gives him. Amelia was never a rude or mean person. Yeah, she spoke her mind when it was needed but she was never out of line.
My fists start to ball up as my blood runs hot. I didn't like the way he was so close to her. My dark eyes burned at the back of his dirty blonde hair and porcelain skin. My eyes land on Amelia and to my surprise she was already looking at me. A different smile is plastered on her face when she sees me. My chest loosens and my fists unclenched.
She tells Fred something with an apologetic smile and made her way to me. She beams up at me, "Hi." She smiles.
My temper falters as she's near me. I nod towards the Soc, "What was that?" I ask.
She waves her hand, "Fred? That was nothing. He was asking for my notes for Chemistry. Don't go all macho." She laughs lightly.
I sigh in relief and lean forward and rested my head on her shoulder. I can feel her body tensing at my closeness. A playful smirk forms on my lips, as I turned and brushed my warm lips against her soft sensitive skin below her ear. A small gasp escape her lips at my touch. Got her.
I pull back and she was completely flustered. She avoids eye contact from me as she clears her throat, "I need to get to...uh..Physics." She stammers out, looking anywheres but me.
I smile and leaned against the wall. I look down at her flustered state and I couldn't help the chuckle that escapes my lips. So cute. "Okay, Amelia." I smile at her.
She nods and walks past me her sweet perfume intrudes my senses. Amelia knows I'm very sensitive to certain smells, so she makes sure not to spray too much of any smelling product. But somehow the little spritz still linger on her skin. I turn and my eyes watch her until she disappears into the classroom down the hall.
