Chapter 5

Saturday
James:(sighs) What a night yesterday.
Micheal: Where the hell were you last night?
James: Oh, with Alison.
Micheal: Why were you with Alison? What else did she have to tell you?
James: Listen, she was not trying to hurt you at all. She was saying that for you to not get hurt. Alison does have a interest in you, some guy named John is making her go on this date with you to basically get information on my then kill you.
Micheal: What why couldn't she tell me that?
James: I don't know bro, but me and her have to plan to confront this John person.
Micheal: Ok, what the plan?
James: The plan is for you both to go along with the date. She is ordered to kill you but I'm pretty sure if she doesn't do it you'll still die by him then he'll kill her. He's going to be there somewhere, so when you to try to run away.
Micheal: So he can come out and kill me himself.
James: Exactly. So are you down with the plan?
Micheal: I'm down with the plan but please don't let me die.
James: Hey, you won't die on my watch. Your my brother for life ok?
Micheal: Yea, brother for life.
James: Good, now you should go and set up that date again.
Micheal: Alright, thanks James see you later.
James:(I hope he doesn't do anything stupid for him to die tonight.)(I can't lose another brother I'll lose it if I do.)
Mandy: Mr.Cater I would like to speak to you.
James:(But bitches like her are going make shoot myself in the the face.) What do you want Ms.Rose?
Mandy: Come with me I would like to have a chat with you.
James: About what? I don't have time for annoying delusional people like you right now. I have better things to attend to right now.
Mandy: But this is more important. It's about you  parents. So instead acting like a spoiled brat you should follow me now.
James:(grunts) Fine.
Ms.Rose's Office
James: Ok, what do know about my parents death?
Mandy: Apparently you parents were killed by someone that was close to them. Do you remember anybody that was close to your parents?
James: No, I don't know anyone that were close to my parents. They were private people and didn't go out much.
Mandy: Ok, that's interesting to know that. But we need to find out who killed your parents.
James: How did you even know that my parents were murdered? I didnt even tell you about my parents death.
Mandy: Well James, you don't know a lot about me and that's because one your a spoiled brat and secondly other people can't know my actual occupation. I'm a undercover cop to look into your parents death and why your siblings left you behind. I've been given specific instructions to watch you by being one these workers and helping out around the home.
James: Oh, that's just perfect I have a goddamn babysitter. Ain't this a goddamn treat for me to be watched by someone.
Mandy: Look James I want justice for you parents. You shouldn't be treated this way after your parents death.
James: Listen, I appreciate that your trying to find the killer of my parents, but I don't need a babysitter.
Mandy: James you don't know if the killer that killed your parents are coming after you. If you die then there's no way the killer will be caught. You need to be watched at all times.
James: You sound like my mother right now. Alright, what if I have some information for you to look into.
Mandy: Ok, what is it.
James: You know my best friend right?
Mandy: Yea, that dumb kid?
James: Uncalled for but yes. So tonight he's going on date with this girl named Alison.  Alison told me yesterday that the date she's on with Mike is only for intel on me.
Mandy: What? What's her plan with that?
James: Apparently, a man named John is commanding her to go on a date with Mike gain intel off him then kill him. And if she fails to do that then he'll kill them both.
Mandy: Damnit. This is not good. When is the date?
James: The date is tonight at 8. Our plan was have Mike make a run for it so when can get this John guy to show himself.
Mandy: So that means that John person is going to be there.
James: Yes, but I need to go with him became this John person wants me and only me.
Mandy: Alright, fine but we need to plant a wire on you in case you meet him face to face.
James: Nobody knows what he looks like no even Alison.
Mandy: Shit, alright need to get ready. James go get ready. He might be the murder of your parents.
James: Got it.(leaves)
Mandy: It's time to take this son of a bitch down tonight.
8 pm
Micheal: How are you liking your dinner Ali?
Alison: It's good thanks for asking. Hey listen, about what I said yesterday it's not what it seems.
Micheal: Hey, I understand you don't have to apologize.
Alison: I'm glad. So, about James how long you've know him.
Micheal: Man, it's been a long time sense I've know James. He's always been there for me through thick and thin.
Alison: Do you know anything about his past?
Micheal: Yea, apparently his parents died when he was very young and he was sent to the foster home that he's currently staying at. Ever sense the death of his parents he's been very distant with people. He doesn't want any friends or just people around him.
Alison: That's sad for him. I know he's going through a lot.
John: (over coms) Keep him talking don't stop.
Alison: So, what about his siblings?
Micheal: His sister somewhere with her husband working. For some reason she won't take him out of there. He build a strong hatred towards his sister and his brothers are not to be found. He feels like his siblings abandoned him after their parents death. Hey listen, I think I gotta go I'm srry about this Ali.
John:(over coms)  No no no no stop him now Alison.
Mike: (Starts to run)
John:Shit
James:(over the phone) Mike is on the move.
Mandy: Don't make a move until he shows himself.
James: Got it.
Micheal:Holy shit. I hope this works.
John:(laughs) What will work?
Micheal: Dammit.
John: Is this your plan to run away from death? How pathetic. I applaud you for your cooperation about your buddy james but I need more about him. So tell me, who are his parents killer?
Micheal: Nobody knows his parents killer. James doesn't even know his parents killer. He never even bothered asking the police about the deaths of his parents.
John: Interesting. He still doesn't know the truth about his parents death.
Micheal: what do you mean the truth? What do you know about his parents death?
John: Does he know why his sister won't take him with her? You know the actual truth?
James:What?
Micheal: No he doesn't.
John: Oh, this is exciting.
Alison: John, what are you doing?
John: Perfect timing. I want you to kill him now I have no use of him anymore.
Alison: I'm not doing that John.
John:(sighs) Of course your not going to do what I asked so, I'll just kill you both.(clocks gun)
Mandy: James, go now!
James:(grunts) Hey!!
John:Huh? Oh look at this? I didn't even have to ask where was James is he came straight to me
James: You want me right? I'm here now.
John:(laughs) So James, how you been doing in that foster home? You been holding up good?
James: Cut the shit! Who are my parents killer?
John: Oh James, if I told you, it would be shocking to believe me. But I can tell you this the shit that your parents were doing to keep your ass alive is crazy. And your sister left you because she had no choice. I told her to not take you or I'll kill her myself.
James: Why?
John: Why not. Your parent were in a lot of debt so they had another form of payment and it was your sister. I can do anything I wanted to your sister and when I mean anything I mean anything.
James: You bastard.
John: Oh cheer up its was either I kill you or I killed your sister. They had no choice. It's a pain that you had to know this way but sense your here to I can kill all of you at once.
James: You sure about that?
John:Huh?
Mandy:Freeze, don't you fucking move.
John:(chuckles) Look at you. This was a set up for me to let my guard down. Well played.
Mandy:Hands behind your back.
John: Sure thing officer.(whistles)
Mandy: Kids get down!!!
(Gunshots)
John:Hurry up, you took to long. Alright let's go.
One day you'll know the truth but your not ready for it so until then ta ta. (Drives away)
Mandy: Is everyone alright?
James: Yea I'm fine.
Alison:Michael!!!!
James: Damn it Mike!!!!
Mandy: I need a medic now.
Micheal:(coughs blood)
James: Mike look at me your gonna be ok don't close your eye you understand me!!! Dammit!!!!!!!!

That night changed me forever. My best friend was shit because of my stupid plan. He was rushed to the hospital but the doctors could do much. By the time he got there he already died. I lost my best friend for my dumb decision and it's my fault. Now I'm completely alone no parents,sister, or my best friends gone. I didn't want to attend the funeral but I did because I know he would've done the same thing with me. Alison was there and she always told me that it wasn't my fault because of Mike's death. But what I can say did stick by his side everyday of the week. It's been 4 months sense his death and I think about him everyday. I'm still living in this damn foster home but I'm getting out of here soon. Me and Alison hang out on the regular but don't have that love for each other. Mike's death case is still being open to find the John person but no luck. Now mike dead I have a new purpose and that's to find out what happened to my family and kill them him before he kills me.
James:I'm coming John.
John:(chuckles) (takes a drink)
