October 31st.

Chapter 2

8:25am

Un-aware that he was following us, we reached the school gates, but they were closed. "Wait what." I said. "It's only 8:26." Lauren said. "So why are the gates closed?" Beth asked. "Dunno." I replied.

"The gates are closed because school isn't opening until 9:00am." Lauren said as she read it online. "Why weren't we told about this?" I asked. "I dunno, it was just announced now." Lauren replied. "That's a load of bollocks. No-one was told at all." I laughed. "Obviously some people knew, because they're not here." Beth said.

"True." I mumbled. "So what should we do? Wait for the gates to be opened, or walk back home?" I asked. "What's the point of going back home, we'll only be late." Lauren exclaimed. "That's too true. Let's just walk up to the top of the road and wait, if people see us, they're gonna think that we're geeks." I laughed.

8:40am

We reached the top of the road, which is like a 7 minute walk. We were all shattered, and I wanted to go to sleep. We had to wait another 20 minutes before the gates opened, so we all discussed our night.

"So Lauren, what are you coming as tonight?" Beth asked. "Oh, I'm coming as a zombie bride, it's very uncommon." "Like you then?" I asked, laughing my head off. Lauren and Beth both laughed too, but then Lauren's laugh ended with a sarcastic cough. "I'm coming as a Monster, the costume looks awesome." Beth exclaimed. "Kieran, what are you coming as?" Lauren asked. "Oh, I don't want anyone knowing, it's a secret."

"Come on, tell us please." Beth begged. "NO! IT'S A SURPRISE!" I shouted. "Alright, keep your knickers on." Lauren laughed.

"Alright, we have 5 minutes left until the gates open, and then it's spend-the-day-in-hell for 6 hours." I moaned.

"Ugh, don't tell me that. I'm trying to forget that school is a bad place, because it's Halloween today!" Lauren said.

"Guys, who's that?" I asked. "Who?" Lauren asked. "That person down there, he's staring at us!" I shouted. Then, I looked further and then realised who it was. "Wait, that's the person who was watching me this morning by the shop! I told you Beth!" I exclaimed.

"Look, stop worrying, just think about tonight, and all the fun we're gonna have." Lauren said. "Alright, I will. But if he does anything at all, or follows me again, I won't ignore it." I shouted.

9:00am

The bell went, and the gates were opened, and we walked through them.

"They should put a sign up there, saying Welcome to Hell!" I laughed.

Little did I know, that day was gonna become hell for me, and I was gonna be in for a real fright...
