Georgiana, a twelve-year-old lady along with her younger brother by a year Augustus, had run up their big halls toward their huge window overlooking a fine country house next to their manor with great awe and curiosity. The house is not as big as theirs but enough to be visible through the trees surrounding their vast estate.

"I heard from Nurse Sally a family is moving there!" Augustus exclaimed to her sister as they watch people rush in and out of the said house.

"I heard their patriarch is a general." Said the sister.

"Papa will surely have known him. He may visit him soon!" The little boy said as he scrunched his nose to the window.

"Or maybe they will pay us a visit, after all, papa is one of the richest people here." Said Georgiana all knowingly.

"Not as rich as Olivia and Octavia's father," Augustus said earning a glare from his sister.

The young girl then waved dismissively at her brother's remarks and said "Governor Mitford is only a dime richer to Papa because he is the governor August."

August only rolled his eyes and said instead, "I hope they have children."

"They most certainly do, for I have heard they had a son a year older than I am, you two could be playmates."

Augustus then turned dramatically away from the window, "I assume that would be impossible, for I am to be sent to Eton in a few days-time."

Georgiana followed suit as his brother moved towards the hallway, sensing the sadness in his tone, the sister patted her brother's back and spoke softly, "Perhaps you'll meet him there as well, and if not, you shall have many friends of yours my dear Augustus."

Looking up Augustus pouted that earned a chuckle from her sister, making him laugh as well. The two filled the hall with giggles as they went on about toys, games, and things that they are privileged to have ever experienced.

And as expected young Master Augustus Constance is indeed sent to Eton in a few days-time leaving the young lady Georgiana all by herself. Her older sisters had already married, the eldest Lady Marie is in Germany with her husband, the Earl of Blanc, and her other sister Lady Anne is in London with her husband in the Parliament.

Little Georgiana is indeed lonely. And she quietly pondered about the loneliness she felt one sunny afternoon, she saw two figures go about the forest just outside their estate from the window of her nursery room, with great intent she had managed to specify the two figures. She remembered them as Arthur Wood, the boy next door whom she had a pleasure meeting last week, and the other one was a boy servant, whose name she cannot remember.

With great curiosity and driven by boredom the young lady stood up and with hesitation followed suit. Her father was always nature-loving and had made his children know the beauty of it as well, going for forest walks alone was a normal thing for them, as long as they stay inside the estate, but Georgiana and her siblings when they were still residing there know better. They would always sneak out of the estate towards the hill at their west overlooking the whole town they would even go along the river to wash and swim. But with no one to do those things anymore, not even young Lady Olivia Mitford, Georgiana's closest friend, Georgiana is left with no choice but to succumb to the boredom. But today was different, for as she moved toward the forest outside their estate, the young adventurer heard a couple of shouts and a lot of leaves shuffling by her left. As she peered towards the noise, she could see the two boys fighting in an amateur like and felt the need to interfere.

"Now boys that are indeed mature" she spoke loudly making the two look towards the sound, Arthur, the boy with blonde hair, blue eyes, and pale skin, is wearing well-to-do clothes and you could tell by his stance as he stood towards her, that he is well kept and educated. The other one had dark raven hair similar to hers, his green eyes were the best of his feature, though you could tell by his ragged clothes and dirty shoes that his no more but a servant's son.

"What is the young lady doing here? Miss Georgiana, right?" Said Arthur, the boy next to him only stayed quiet.

"I'm rather acquainted with the forest Mr. Arthur, when I stumbled upon such a scene." The little raven head said as she looked about them.

"Does the Lord know you're here madam?" Asked the other boy, his eyes humble and quite kind.

Georgiana smiled and said "Of course he does, now might I ask, for a young girl as I am is curious on what both of you are on and about?"

Arthur then exclaimed, "I caught this young man stealing an old man's watch! I took justice for the poor old man!"

"Did not!" The boy retorted back to Arthur's accusations, "I was rather mending the watch, you weren't there when he handed it to me! All you saw was a poor boy making his way for a living, and you immediately challenged me to a fight, and I shall fight for my integrity, and to correct such faulty accusations!" the boy angrily shouted.

"What a splendid story, bet you are a good liar!" Arthur sneered.

"I must say you two started at the wrong foot, and is all misunderstanding, but only one could be telling the truth. "

She looked at both of them with those quizzical eyes, "What is your name again?" She pointed out to the raven head,

"Charles Roger, miss, my father is lord Boyle's manservant." The boy said looking down.

"I see, well then there is only one resolve to this, we must ask the old man who owns the watch to tell us who was telling the truth, that, rather than fighting." Georgiana more likely ordered.

The two exchanged a look, then Arthur spoke up and said, "Miss Georgiana are you questioning my own intent?"

"I would rather not, but challenging a fight and accepting one makes you (points to Arthur) proud, and you (Charles) are of no different." She faced Charles and exclaimed, "What do you think will make of you going on and fighting a gentleman's son? Left alone a General!"

Charles glared at her and said, "And what makes of you miss? A nosy bored little young girl?"

Georgiana was shock by his words, and yet it was true, she did not let it get into her.

"Call me as you please Mr. Roger, I am rather helping you both settle your misunderstanding, that surely most definitely, both of you haven't thought through." Georgiana said coming out will the sass she could master.

"I guess... we shall go to old Mr. Philipps then." Charles said thinking, then regretting the remark he said a while ago.

"I certainly dis-"

"It is fixed then! Let us go to Mr. Philipps and end this!" Georgiana said excitedly, making Arthur frown.

"You mean to join us miss?" Asked Charles kindly.

"Yes." Georgiana said with so much determination that the two young boys didn't argue anymore for they know they will only lose to her.

It has been a week since the two had resolved their dispute, and it's been a week since the two had become friends along with Georgiana. Arthur admitted his faults and so does Charles, Georgiana on the other hand was ecstatic of how the things went on, for indeed she is lonely, she found new friends. And there the trio began a friendship that will surely last a lifetime.

Georgiana's friendship with the two young boys was now known by the Lord and Lady Constance and of course the town, the Lord was rather relieved for her daughter's choice of friends, for when he met the two, he knew that they are far more intelligent than most children are. The lady was at first worried, having her younger daughter befriend young little boys, was quite alarming, though as she saw them play, she realized they are still indeed children and she finds it quite adorable.
