I've recently been kicked out of the orphanage for good, seems like my old man has yet to notice, but since he's the Hokage I'm sure he has more important matters to attend too. Looking up the the hokage faces brings a smile to my face, one day I will surpass them all. My thoughts were interrupter by kyuubi.
"It's time to train, Naruto"
"All right, what are you going to be teaching me today kuu?"
"Nothing if you keep calling me that brat"
"Ah what but it's cute!"
"..."
"we are going to be training on the outskirts of the village where you will learn to hunt and track for the meantime"
"Sounds awesome, believe it!"

After finding a good spot right outside the village kyuubi started telling me the best kind of shelter you need for living out in the wild, though I don't totally agree with it.
"No way, why is digging a big hole in the ground a good placed to live!"
"They are not so you say'big hole in the ground' it's a den Naruto, they are great for winter. When it starts getting cold many animals will go underground to sleep the winter for the ground keeps heat"
"Well if I have to I'll deal with it"
"Then get digging"
"Ah what!"

The time it took to build a den was long and tiring but was worth it in the end, he really wasn't lying when he said the ground is warm.Next morning the sound of birds singing woke me up, my stomach took this moment to grumble.
"Sounds like are next lesson is coming sooner than later"
"What do you mean?"
"you are going to learn to hunt for food and those birds are a perfect place to start"
"How am I going to do that?"
"Easy, grab that rock.Good now I want you to try and aim for the wings of the bird"
My rock missed the bird and the birds then fly away due to being startled.
"I missed"
"It's going to take practice but when you get it you'll have a tasty meal"
I went around the forest all day practicing throwing rocks to get a bird, then I finally got one.
The sharp swing of the rock hit the bird and when it tried to take off it landed with a thud.
When I got to the bird it struggled with its now broken wing to escape out of my clutches.
"Do I have to kill it?"
"If you want to eat then you will, this is a dog eat dog world and no one is innocent"
With that I bash the birds head in to take it out of it's misery.
