"Did you guys get my gifts" Juniper asked her two best friends over the phone, it was currently the day before term starts so they couldn't meet in person, and they needed their daily debrief
" i only opened it before but i'm already in love, thank you so much" Imogen beamed down the speaker. "now i can break the uniform policy even more now that you gave me the jacket and the necklace i've been wanting, how did you know i wanted it?"
"well,my dear imogen, when we went shopping a few weeks ago I saw the longing glances you made, and i have the matching ring while Ali has the matching bracelet" Valerie answered proud in herself for making her favourite girl happy.
"val, i'm also thankful of my gift as well, my gifts to you two should be arriving soon, i'm just a bit too drunk to really show my appreciation right now" Alice slurred in a muffled voice, which is a result of the vodka she had been drinking all day.
"come on ali, you know i didn't want anything" june argues
"shush Junebug you know i love gifts" of course they knew imogen loved gifts, they made her feel wanted, whether it was the daily coffee Ali got them or a cartier necklace June got her, she was always so happy, it warmed their hearts
"yes miss hastings, have you not heard imi say it, every day, for nearly 5 years" its true she says it all the time, only because Ali feels the need to bring her girls coffee, every morning, without fail, for almost 5 years.
even if she wasn't in, she would find a way to ensure that they would get it, this woud usually entail forcing her brother nick to deliver it to them, or asking her boyfriend Alex to ambush them with it the second he saw them, it was safe to say they got it every day.
it was rather impressive how she remembered their orders, especially imogens, hers was complex, god forbid she picked somethin from the menu, nope she had to feel special and ask for a special one she saw on TikTok
"Shut up, Mrs Spring" Valerie mocked, it was kind of their thing to use each others the last names of their partners as a joke, obviously they have nicknames for each other that much is obvious, but they felt the need to change it up.
"the new term starts tomorrow, and was wondering if you'd be my own personal cheerleaders for another year, i mean you're very good at it" Juniper questions, a smug smile resting on her face already knowing the answer
before Alice could even open her mouth, Imogen had agreed for the both of them.
"we'd love too, isn't that right Ali?"
"hmm? sure" Alice answered with indifference finding it incredibly difficult to stay awake, let alone argue.
"good because the season starts soon and i need to win, i'm captain it'll all come down to me." Juniper announces with a newfound determination
"wonderful, make sure to let alex know because he'll some how get Ali to it for him playing rugby as well , and we all know how persistent he can be" imogen spoke so fast Juniper struggled to understand her, this was a regular occurance, when imogen got excited she spoke fast, very very fast.
its kinda cute.
"ah shit, guys i've got to go" June blurts out after glancing at the time, it was around 1am, meaning their debrief went on for more than 4 hours, this usually didn't bother them but considering her and imogen had practice in the morning, it was important that they slept, they can also be perceived as rude if they run of no sleep, and believe me, no-one wants to put up with that.
"ah yeah, night guys, love you" just after waiting for the girls replies, Ali left the call, closely followed by imogen and valerie.
all three of the call members fell asleep with smiles on their face happy that they an see each other after a few day of being apart.
to an outsider, it would appear that Imogen and Juniper were in a relationship, but they would be wrong ,they're only really really really good friends

held hands
bought each other gifts
and made out
you know friend stuff.

A/N:This is the first chapter that i've rewrote so yay i know this doesn't follow the plot of the show yet but i wanted to give an insight into their friendship/relationship i hope my chapters in the future will be longer so i do apologise, but anyway feel free to give me ideas either in the comments or private, i'd love to hear them
