Chapter One
"Greene Farm"

When Alex heard her little brother was injured, all she could see was red. Daryl Dixon, the man she viewed as her older brother immediately pulled her from the group to calm her down. So when they returned the group watched the only remaining Grimes skeptically. The group could still remember when Alex would go out on a rampage, since her father returned she seemed remotely calm.

Then everything with the CDC happened and she nearly killed Dr. Jenner. Rick had never seen her like that before. As before the apocalypse she was the most shy and sweetest teenager. When he returned he found a lonely and dangerous woman in her place. Eventually, Daryl got her to sleep. But she was soon woken by her best friend, Glenn Rhee.

"Hey. T-Dog and I are going to the farm. Do you want to come?" Glenn asked. She immediately stood up and stretched. "Of course." She grabbed her backpack and the teddybear she got for Carl when he was born. The boy wouldn't go anywhere without it. After she bid her farewells to the Dixon. She jumped into the driver's seat. T-Dog and Glenn immediately leave to give Alex space once they came to a hault.

Alex held onto the bear as tears streamed down her cheeks. Carl Grimes has always been attached to his big sister since he was born. He would follow and always go to her when something was wrong, since he could talk. His first word was Sissy. From that day forward, Alex swore to protect him. Now she feels as if she failed.

The Grimes girl jumped hearing a knock on the window. She looks up and notices a man a little older then herself. So she opens the door and jumps out. "Hey I'm Sam." He puts out his hand. She shook it keeping the bear in one hand. "Alex. How is my brother?" She quizzed quickly wiping her tears away. Sam felt so sorry for her. He couldn't help think that he would definitely be in the same state if something happened to his little sisters.

"Better." He nods. He couldn't help himself but bring the shorter brunette into a hug. He shushes her as more tears stream down her face and onto the cloth of his shirt. Sam brushes his fingers through her hair. Alex hold tighter onto him before someone shouts out her name. She pulls away just as Rick Grimes rushes out. "Dad!" She exclaims running into his arms.

Alexia Grimes has always been closer to her father. When she was little she would follow him around and mimic him. She would tell everyone one day she would be a cop just like her Dad. "Hes okay. He called for you alot." Rick sighs pulling away to look his daughter over. He notices the bear and smiles. "Come on." He takes her hand and leads her away from the frowning Greene.

As soon as Alex's eyes met Carl she fell to his side. Once her knees touched the floor her hand finds his hair. "Im here." She whispered. Almost immediately he starts coughing before his eyes open. "Lexi." He smiled. Their parents watched them shocked. "Hey Little Warrior. I'm here now. I won't be leaving you ever again." She told him before placing the bear beside him. The youngest Grimes faintly smiles at his older sister.

"Where are we?" He asks finally turning to his parents. "Hey, little man. That's Hershel. We're in his house. You had an accident. Alright?" Rick smiles as Carl slowly grabs his sister's hand. "It hurts, a lot." He mumbles causing Alex to sigh and kiss his head. "Oh baby, I know. I know." Lori whispers. Carl turns back to his sister. "You should have seen it." He spoke

"What?" Alex asked softly brushing his hair. "The deer. It was so pretty, Lexi. It was so close. It was like your photos and drawings. I've never been.." Suddenly Carl stops moving. "Carl!" Alex shouts out moving her hand to check his pulse. She jumps back as he begins to shake. "What is happening?" Lori asks as Rick pulls his frightened daughter into his arms. "Don't. It's a seizure. If you hold him down, you could hurt him." Tears stream down the younger woman's eyes. "I can't." She shook her head before running out.

Once she exits the house she bumps into someone. "Alex?" Sam quizzes. The girls in question wraps her arms around him. Causing him to hug her. "Its going to be okay." He sighed rubbing the back of her head.
