"I think.. we should go to your house.. you know, for more privacy.." Yvette had been hoping to be left alone with me as her company. "My house? Alright, it's a uh.. pretty long walk, and hike, hope you don't mind that." I say with a smile on my face. "I don't mind at all, I walked all the way to your house, after all!" Yvette said with a giggle. "Alright. Have fun walking 5 miles, then hiking another 2." I spoke with a stifled laugh.
The walk was long, and tiring, but they had each other keep themselves entertained, which was oddly working well. They seemed really close all of a sudden, which is very unusual of the two. Maybe she isn't so bad after all.. I thought. "Hey, you tired? We're halfway there." I noticed her dragging her feet, and picked her up. "Yeah, you're tired." I said, and without hesitation, I carried her on my shoulders the rest of the way.
In about half an hour, we reached the path that leads to my house. Yvette was starting to fall asleep. "Hey, Yvette, we're almost here, wake up. There's like 2 minutes of climbing left." I lightly nudge her with my shoulder as we tread up the trail. "Hey, wake up, we're here." I nudge her a little harder so that she wakes up. "5 more hours.." Yvette mumbled under her breath.
"Yvette, you have to get off my back, I know it's late, but it's not much longer before we're at the guest bedroom." I say, nudging her some more. "Come on, get off." I say once more. "Mmm... Noo... Go away..." Yvette said, half asleep, "Yvette, get off." I said. "Noo..!!" Yvette said slightly louder. "..Alright fine, I'll carry you to the guest bedroom."
