Cara's POV
September 1st
Today is the dreaded day that any typical student would have, the summer holiday comes to an end as a new school year begins. But unlike some other students, I am ready to face my senior years with my minds set on straight A's, no one is going to stand on my way on getting a scholarship by the end of my high school years. Likewise, it is time to face reality, school isn't that great with ranks, socialising and downright stuck up people, I might only have one friend in the entire school but I'm not much of a social butterfly either.
As my alarm clock hit 7.00 a.m. I feel the need to get out of bed and get ready for school. I got out and head to the bathroom where I take a quick shower. I let the warm water sooth me as I think about life ahead of time. i walked out of the shower, place a towel over my petite body. I brush my teeth and wash my face. Once I'm all set, I put on my clothes that I am going to wear today. A white t-shirt, flannel and high waisted jeans is always the way to go. I put on some natural make up and let my hair go down loose.
Breakfast was honestly simple, pancakes and maple syrup, nothing special. I put on my white converse and head out the door. The wind was a bit chilly due to the fall season drawing near, as I walk out and put my earphones on listening to some classical music. I don't understand why people judge me in the type of music I like, it is honestly my choice and none of their business, I just find classical music very relaxing and peaceful. As I hop onto the bus, I could feel some girls glaring or staring at me in a disgust matter. Ally, my best friend would tell me I'm pretty and that I shouldn't be overly focus in my studies and try to get some boyfriends.
Well you see, boyfriends aren't exactly my thing, i would be so uncomfortable around guys my age. I will be overly shy and to be honest I have never ever dated anyone which people think is absolutely ridiculous. Well, Im not looking for some boy troubles this year because I am going to be well prepared on my studies and try to get the best possible grades. My thoughts were interrupted by a low british accent coming from someone.
"Is anyone sitting here" he asked me in a rude tone
"there is obviously no one here" I replied coldly
He glared at me before taking a seat next to me. I noticed his hair from his blue hoodie, brown curls. His jawline was perfection and those green eyes are truly captivating. I didn't realise I was staring at him until I saw his mouth curved into a slightly smug smirk.
"Im Harry by the way, Harry Styles" he said politely
"Im uh- Cara umm.. Winters" I replied nervously with my voice cracking at the end. God what is wrong with me.
The entire ride was filled with me looking out the window, I could sense him starring at me occasionally but tried to ignore it. When the bus reached school, I felt relieved and rushed past him as he was about to open his mouth to say something. I was speed walking towards the school when that oh so familiar voice travels to my ears.
"Cara! I'll see you around" He yelled sending me genuine smirk on his face
Oh you bet I will be seeing him around. Remember that talk I had about boys, scratch that. This one is different I can tell. Somewhat cocky but not too much, at least he's attractive. God Cara get your mind straight, you do not fall for him. My thoughts were crushed by the sound of the bell ring that reminds me of one very important word,
school
