Chapter One

WARNINGS: Mature language

"No." Groans echoed throughout the room, Will just rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.

"Why not?" Mike asked with a slight pout on his face. Everyone nodded along.

"Yeah, why not?" El asked with a bit of annoyance laced in her tone. Will huffed and began pacing back and forth.

"Because if I do agree to this, I'll be in huge trouble! Not only with the principal but with my mom and, and Jonathan hell, maybe even with Hopper!" The rest of the party rolled their eyes.

"Come on, man. Just this once, we won't ask for anything else." Will scoffed at Dustin's words.

"Like hell I'm believing that."

"Look on the bright side," Lucas said, brightening his expression as he stood up. "They'll never expect it to be you! They won't even dare to look your way!" Everyone nodded in agreement except El. Who rolled her eyes in annoyance.

"Yeah, because he's a "goody two shoes" and would never do anything wrong." Will opened his mouth to speak but was quickly shut off by Max.

"Exactly! So there we go, that's the plan." Once, Max said that everything suddenly dawned on everyone. They hadn't even made a plan to sneak into the school.

"Shit, how will we even get in the school? The classrooms will definitely be locked, so if we even manage to get inside the school, how would we get inside the classrooms?" Everyone sighed heavily, Dustin was right.

"See? This is a bad idea, so we sho-"

"We can stay overnight!" Lucas exclaimed. Will immediately shook his head.

"Heck no. Do you know how dangerous that is?"

"That's what makes it exciting!"

"Exciting? Are you serious?"

"I mean.... yeah."

"Don't be stupid! It's just a drawer full of crap that was taken from students! We're not risking everything for that. I will not do it." Everyone groaned for the fiftieth time that day.

"Okay, whatever, man." Mike said, but there was annoyance evident in his tone. Will sighed and grabbed his bag.

"It's getting late, guys. I better head home now. Jonathan will be here in a few anyway." A few "okays" and "byes" echoed throughout the room as Will headed out of the basement.

Sure enough, Jonathan was pulling beside the curb by the time Will walked out the Wheelers' residence. He smiled and waved slightly as he approached the vehicle.

"Hey, bud." Jonathan said softly as Will shut the door. Will smiled in response, and Jonathan revved the engine before driving off.

I'm making El's character a bit bitchy so it'll be easy for me to continue on with my plot. This is just a filler chapter and kind of ass. Just please trust the process.
