It was a sunny day, the wind blew softly and the sky was a nice shade of blue, the flowers blew all in one direction. I was in a meadow, the cottage sat just across the meadow behind a row of trees and a river. "Shika! Shika!" Kimishiro called from behind me. I was laying on my back and watching the soft clouds as they floated freely across the sky, the aroma of flowers was strong and driftd past my nose. "Shika!" Kimishiro repeated. "What is it Kimishiro?" I asked darting my eyes up to watch Kimishiro running my way.

She held a flower infront of my face, it was red. I looked at it. All the flowers around us were white? how did she find a red flower? "Where did you find that Kimishiro?" I asked. She looked behind her "Over there" She said and pointed over the hill. I stood up, "Show me" I said curiously. She grabbed my hand and began to pull me over the small hill. She stopped and pointed to the ground, "Right here?" There isnt another single red flower.

I dont understand? How could that flower grow overnight? Kimishiro always plays over the hill and she has't seen that before? How could you miss a bright red flower in the middle of all those white flowers? Its impossible, even Kimishiro isnt that oblivious. I frown, this cant be a good sign. "Kimishiro why dont we go and show mum and dad?" I say, holding her hand and walking back over towards the direction of the cottage. I want to know what they think of Kimishiro's discovery.

It took all of 2 minutes to walk to the cottage. Our family was isolated from everyone so the only people that I have ever talked to in the world was my mother and father and Kimishiro. I guess it was because the curse, that would be passed to me when the time is right, I have no choice. I think if those knew about it, we would be attacked in fear of others.

I walk in through the door, Mother was siting on the rocking chair as we walked in. "Oh, hello girls, I didnt expect you 2 to..." She looked up and gasped, staring straight at the flower Kimishiro held in her hand. She ran out of the room and quickly returned with our father. "What is it Ikumo?" Our father, Deniku asked. "Deniku, look.." He looked over at us and smiled, then his eye caught the sight of the red flower Kimishiro was still holding and his expression changes in fear and he gasps, looking back at our mother. "It's time" our mother exclaimed.

I put my hands on Kimishiro's shoulders and stood behind her, Its time? I question myself. What could it be time for? I watched as Our mother reached up to the top shelf of the cabnet by her rocking chair, she then pulled out a box, it was small and brown, sinular to a shoe box in size and shape. It had a flower pattern on the top, like most of the things in our house had flower patterns, the cushion on the rocking chair, the curtains, all the antique vases and objects. Our mother really loved flowers and so did Kimishiro and I, who usually spend hours out on the flower feild.

Our mother placed the box on the floor and opening it. Kimishiro and I stood still and watched as our mother started to pull some objects out of the box. There was a small silver shiny stick, it was metal and had a flower patern on it, she passed it to me. There was a small red flower on the side. I rubbed my finger over it and the blade of a katana flew out of the end. I looked at the magnificent weapon, it shone so brightly.

She walked back over to the box, pulling out something else, it was paper wraped around something neatly. She walked back over to me and handed it to me.I look at it and then looked up at her. "You are not to read this note until a weeks time" Ikumo told you, staring at you seriously. "I understand" You looked at Kimishiro.

I pressed the red flower on the katana and it disappeared into the little silver stick once again. You slide the katana into your pocket along with the thing wraped in paper. "You and Kimishiro are going to go far away" You looked at your father shocked. "What?" You replied shocked. "It's to dangerous for you to stay. You can leave tonight. Travel as far as you can in the next week and when it's time read the note that I have given you, it will explain everything and take good care of Kimishiro"

My eyes widened, Its time?, I repeated to myself.
