We get there and i look down at lena and she looks like she might be sick at any moment. “ hey are you okay you dont look ao good” i ask and she shakes her head yes before putting her hand in mine squeezing it tight.
“ yeah i am okay i just dont do well with people in masks they freak me out.” i grin and squeeze her hand back and she looks up at me with a smile.
“ dont worry i will protect you” i say in my best super hero voice and she laughs shaking her head. We all walk to the gates and pay to get in . i look around this place is huge i feel like if you were alone you would definitely get lost. Kraig pops his head in the middle of us and smiles.
“ lets go bitches!!” i roll my eyes and he leads the way into the first attraction. The lights flicker and the sounds of someone screaming echos through the building i feel lena squeeze my hand so tight i think if she squeezes any harder it is going to fall off. She tucks herself half behind me i look down and he eyes are half closed.
We walk into a room that is barley lit and what looks like a body that has been dismembered is on a medical table and heads hang from the celing the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I turn my head around and staring back at me is an extremely bloody clown hodling a hatch it i go quiet not knowing what to say. I go to pull lena infront of me but she turns around and the scream she makes should not be humanly possible.
“ FUCKING NO WAY GET ME OUT OF HERE !!” she screams and she bolts away from all of us screaming as she does i cant help but laugh but also feel bad. I rush after her i can keep hearing her screams which only makes me want to laugh a little more. I make it to the exit and she is standing there half bent over catching her breath and i just burst out into laughter.
She looks back at me like she might kill me i stand up striaght and stop laughing she shakes her head at me and starts to laugh herself. “ i will never be doing that again just so you know.”
I grin and walk over and hug her i can feel her heart pounding from fear i kiss the top of her head. “ dont worry you wont have too.”
All the others come out smiling and laughing we walk around and grab some food from one of the food trucks and get seat im zoned out looking around. Thinking about how much Tatum would have loved this place because she loved halloween and all things scary. I feel a hand touch mine and look over and smile at lena.
“ you look lost in thought you alright?” she asks i shake my head yes before taking a deep breath.
“ i was just thinking about how tatum would have loved this place.” everyone looks at me confused because i have not talked about Tatum with anyone besides Lena.
“ who is tatum you could have invited her.” Jamie says i look down and sigh.
“ Tatum was my best friend but she passed away last year.” the whole tabel goes silent.
“ if you dont mind us asking but how did she pass away?” i bite my lip nervous i havent talked about tatum in so long i feel like my heart is going to be ripped out of my chest.
“ she passed away last may from a car accident.” lena squeezes my hand i squeeze hers back letting her know im okay.
“ wait i heard about that accident Tatum rodgers im sorry for your loss man.” griffin says and gets up and throws his food away we all sit there for a moment in an awkward silence before jamie changes the topic about the home coming dance. Lena rest her head on my shoulder i look down at her and smile.
I forgot the dance was coming up tatum always forced me to go to all the other dances even though i hated them i look back down at lena once it is just us i pull her aside and rest my hands on her hips and she wraps her arms around my neck smiling.
“ i have something i need to ask you.” she grins and bites her lip like she always dose when she is nervous.
“ okay well ask away i may have an answer or i may not.” i grin and roll my eyes.
“ will you be my date to the homecoming dance.” her face lights up and she shakes her head yes smiling.
“ yes of course i will be your date Theo!” i chuckle and lean down and kiss her smiling.
“ good i was hoping you would have said yes.” she smacks me playfully and we go catch up with everyone els.
