If you don't wish to read 5000+ words about ghost hunting you can go to chapter 8. This chapter elaborates on the day when Kagami and Isagi went to explore a haunted abandoned high school and what all went wrong.

----------------------------------------------

It was quiet, with only the faint noises of the train moving on the rails heard by the two friends.

Kagami looked outside, and all he could see were dark gray clouds and trees moved by the wind. It was drizzling. Isagi and Kagami were looking through the window admiring the humid weather, both sharing a love for the rain since they were kids. He was focused, counting all the Barn Swallows he could see flying away - trying to find shelter from their sworn enemy, the rain - after all, the trip to Kyoto was 3 hours long, and boredom was taking more and more of a grip on him.

"21, ...., 22, ...., 2-" His newfound hobby was interrupted by Isagi calling to him. "Bro?" He sounded tired. This was only a reasonable reaction as they were alone, in the last train carriage surrounded by complete tranquility, and it was starting to get late. It would be more concerning if he were not tired or, at least, a little sleepy.

His voice was quiet when he spoke. If he were not draped half on him, taking up almost his entire lap, he would not have heard his friend when he asked, "What time is it?"

Kagami moved his hand toward his pocket. He was glad that he wore wide cargo pants today. Putting his hand in a cramped place and searching for his phone didn't sound all that pleasing. That would have been too much of a hassle, and he could not be bothered with that, not when he sat so comfortably.

He found it, smoothly took the device out of his pants pocket and looked at the time. He noticed that it wouldn't be that long before they'd arrive.

He started to answer Isagi's question when his body betrayed him by yawning in the middle of his sentence. "How rude," he thought. The redhead wanted to restart his sentence when he quickly shut down that idea, choosing to look around rather than answer his friend's question. After all, nothing was more amusing than letting people wait for you and try to thin out their patience as much as possible. While he was observing the interior of the moving machine, he noticed things he didn't see when he first walked in, it was surprisingly gorgeous, the train was modern, and everything looked like the architects went up to heaven and stolen every light and white furniture they could find and subsequently incorporated it into their final product, the train.

After inspecting the train, Kagami checked his best friend out. He looked nice today, perhaps he was trying to make a good impression on a potential female spirit or ghost, or wherever those things are called, "the sneaky bastard," he was proving to be trouble, yet again. When was he not? 'Friends make life easier', my ass.

Isagi had his hair styled in the middle part. It looked fluffy, the type of fluffy you want to run your hand through. He wore baggy forest green pants, a black Chase Atlantic shirt, with a gray zip-up sweater half-zipped over his shirt. "Nah, he even wore his favorite shirt. Who was this man trying to impress?"

Over his skateboard were his worn-out sneakers stretched, placed over his. They were matching ones. The both of them had bought new matching ones a few days ago after a catastrophic accident. Isagi his skateboard was black with a dark green dragon firing its white flames displayed on it, and Kagami's was white with a Red dragon roaring and showing its black flames. If he had to be honest, he would say that they looked awesome, but he wasn't, so that's why when they had first gotten them done. He had said that they looked stupid, but yeah, whatever. It wasn't like Isagi took anything serious that came out of Kagami's mouth. Anything Kagami said was taken with a grain of salt by the blue-haired boy.
