An autumn dawns and churns;
Bereaved is the summer of thine.
Yet my heart burns
With a little lush summer of mine.
How do I define thee?
In bland earthly shine.
Thy gleam a celestial glee
In the lush summer's heart of mine.
Thy golden candour, thy candid smile,
Arching rainbows in the sky recline;
Thy nature's tempest moves many a mile,
O my little lush summer of mine.
My pigeon soul dances and leaps,
And flies to the rainbow divine.
It showers in the breezy heaps
Of the little lush summer of mine.
