as i finished the last entry of marble hornets, i was left feeling burnout, maybe watching eight hours straight of found footage on youtube wasn't the best way to spend the day. although i was exhausted beyond comprehension, i was still left with an eerie feeling, the unsettling events from the dream still lingering in the back of my mind. i knew i should get some rest before the next day, but the thought of laying in bed for hours with my thoughts turned me off to the idea of sleep.

eventually, i couldn't take it anymore. i switched off the television and closed my eyes, trying to shake off the feeling of unease that lingered. but no matter how had i tried, the sense of dread continued to grow. it was as if something was lurking in the darkness, waiting for me to let my guard down.

despite the overwhelming sense of fear, i drifted off to sleep, hoping that the morning would bring some much-needed clarity and relief from the horror that had been haunting me the previous night.

as i woke up from my dream, i was drenched in sweat, my heart still pounding in my chest and my breathing coming out in short gasps. the terror i had felt in the dream was already starting to fade, but it left behind a sense of unease that lingered like a bad taste in my mouth.

the dream had been so vivid, and yet, i couldn't remember a single thing about it. all i knew was that it had left me feeling scared and unsettled.

i turned on the lamp on my nightstand as i tried to calm my racing thoughts, i tried to recall what i was dreaming about. but no matter how hard i concentrated, the details were already slipping away from me, like water through a sieve. all i was left with was the sense that the dream had been something dark and ominous, something that seemed to carry a sinister threat that i couldn't quite put my finger on.

i could feel a sense of unease building inside of me as i laid back down in bed, trying to calm myself and go back to sleep.

i forced myself to take a deep breath and tried to shake off the sense of unease that lingered on the heels of my dream, that sense of unease gnawed at me, like a tiny mouse gnawing at the roots of a tree, slowly but surely chipping away at my resolve.

but the feeling only grew stronger, a sense of being watched, as if there was something in the shadows, just outside of my vision. i tried to shake it off, telling myself that it was just my imagination, but i couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

finally, i gave up on trying to sleep, reaching instead for my laptop and tapping out a few lines. it was always easier for me to process my thoughts when i could put them into words, and as i typed out the last sentence, i felt a sense of relief wash over me. at least now, i had a record of what had happened, even if i couldn't remember the dream itself.

as i finished typing the last sentence, i let out a shaky breath and leaned my back against the pillows propped up against the wall, attempting to shake off the feeling of unease that still lingered. i knew that i couldn't keep ignoring the issue at hand, so i decided to confront it head-on. i grabbed my smartphone from the nightstand and opened up my camera app, activating the flashlight feature. i pointed the beam around the room, but nothing seemed to be out of the ordinary. all i could hear was the sound of my own breathing and the gentle hum of the laptop cooling fan.

still, i couldn't shake the feeling that there was something there, something just beyond the reach of my sight. i reached over and turned on the lamp beside my bed, flooding the room with light. i was expecting to see some sort of creature lurking in the shadows, similar to the dream i had the night before, but instead, all i saw was my own reflection looking back at me from the window.

i let out a heavy sigh and collapsed back onto my bed, the weight of the unease finally catching up to me. i closed my eyes, determined to fall asleep despite the lingering feeling of dread. i took several slow, deep breaths, trying to calm my racing thoughts, and soon enough, i felt myself drifting off once again.

as i drifted into sleep, my thoughts drifted back to the strange dream i had, the one that i couldn't quite shake from my mind. i didn't understand why it had left such a mark on my subconscious, or why i couldn't remember a single detail. but as i slipped deeper into slumber, the unease started to fade, and i was finally able to let go of the strange sensation and relax into a deep, restful sleep.

i wander around the dense woods, disoriented and lost. the impenetrable fog obscuring everything and making it impossible to see more than a few feet ahead. suddenly, i hear a rustling sound coming from a nearby thicket of trees.

i cautiously approach, my heart pounding in my chest, if this was a horror film i'd definitely die first. as i get closer, i catch a  glimpse of two strange figures. they're both wearing masks, one with a pale yellow hoodie, face adorned with a ski mask decorated in a stitched red frown and the other in a tan carhartt jacket with a white mask with facial features drawn on it.

the two figures stood there, no one uttered a word, the two figures give off an intimidating vibe, yet looked eerily familiar. where had i seen them before? and why.

as i back away, i realise that i'm surrounded. there's nowhere to go. i'm trapped in this forest with these strange, masked figures.
