The Main Villain

Chapter 1: A sudden change of mind

It was dark and stormy outside. There was a fight between two heroes and two villians. Alexaite and queen, one of the most chaotic and evil village duo of the city had burned a building. They've been causing chaos more often then usual.

The long stare down between the heroes and villians have been going for moments but it felt like years. Blade and firelight was watching the two down ready dodge any attacks the two villians might throw.

Queen spoke up out of the blue with a wide grin on her face.
"Boys, boys, boys..come on now let's not make this fight between us long. We'll get sick. We're soaked in the rain! Let's not make this long." She said with the same grin.

"You were the one who started this didn't you? Why don't you be the one to attack first?" Blade said with his usual cold monotone voice.

The heavy rain had somehow extinguished the flames that was set on the building. Firelight power was no use in the rain. But luckily the other would do.

"Hmm...okay then!" Queen said smiling as she grabbed a knife and threw it in one Swift motion aiming for blade. But dodged it summoning a weapon of his own immediately attacking queen.

Alexaite and firelight were also fighting but they kept their distance between them. They were attacking one another with their own powers not wanting to do any hand to hand combat.

The fight lasted quite a while with queen being badly injured. Blade was going to finish her off with a swing of his sword as he lift his Blade up the air ready to kill. Till firelight stopped him.

"What are you doing!?" Firelight whispered over to him, seemingly confused and concerned why he was going to kill her. Blade looked at him before turning back to look at the Almost Unconscious Queen who was trying her best not to pass out.

"Doing our job." Blade said and swing his sword at queen till a moving circle made of light stopped him. He looked at at firelight who was controlling the ball of light with his hands.

"What are you doing calix." He whispered at him. Firelight smirked "doing the right thing." He said Swiftly moving his hand so the ball of light would fling his sword hitting the ground. Blade looked at him surprise.

Alexaite who was recently pinned against a wall by firelight with his powers got off and looked shocked and surprise by firelight's save.

Queen sat there on the ground with disbelief shocked that a hero had saved her from getting killed by another hero. "W-what..?"
She said still shocked.

Firelight blew a wind of light at blade making him hit the wall painfully. "You two get out of here! I got him." He said trying to fight blade off the two so he wouldn't kill them.

The two nodded as alexaite took queens hand and ran to the roofs jumping on them getting into a safe place to take a break. Still shocked by a hero siding with them because of their lives being turned off by other heroes.

Firelight watched the two escaped and turned his head back to blade. "What the hell calix!" Blade shouted at him. "Why would you save them!? Are you insane!?" Blade shouted again asking questions.

"I was doing the right thing!" He shouted back at Blade continuing,
"Just because they're bad doesn't mean they deserve to die!" He said trying to convince him.

"This is our job calix! We get rid of villians! If we don't then it will be a never ending battle!" Blade shouted at him seemingly mad he got stopped by Firelight. "Why don't you give them a second chance!?"
Firelight questioned.

"VILLIANS DONT DESERVE A SECOND CHANCE." Blade yelled at him as Firelight looked at him with disbelief. "I thought you were good lex."

Blade looked at him getting himself standing up. "We're going to have a talk calix. You are  in big trouble." Blade looked at him codly, before jumping onto a roof one by one soon getting out of Firelights vision as he watched him.

He sighed grabbing his phone and called someone. The person picked up saying, "we've been informed that you've protected a villain calix." The other line said, calix replying with two meaningful bit simple words.

"I quit."

The other line seemed to be shock, "Quit!? What do you mean Quit!?" The person question raising their voice. "I Quit being a hero if we're just going to kill them off. I've changed my mind."

"Changed your mind!? Why!? Why the sudden change of mind!?" The other line keep questioning, Firelight hanging up on them as an answer.

Calix looked at his phone and sighed hearing a 'ahem' to catch his attention. He looked back seeing alexaite. "What are you doing here?" Calix asked receiving an nervous answer.

"I wanted to say thank you for um..well..saving queens life..I got scared that she would be next of the many villians killed by heroes. So I'm really glad you protected her..." alexaite said shyly but his words said the fear and joy he felt.

"I never thought you would save her..I never thought a hero would." He said, eyes looking anywhere but calix. Calix sighed. "I'm not a hero anymore." He said as alexaite looked at him surprise. "What do you mean?" Alexaite asked.

"I quit." Calix said continuing, "I've changed my mind. I can't stand seeing them kill of your side. I Quit being a hero if all they do is just fight and kill. You villians don't deserve to die. You deserve a second chance."  He said looking at alexaite.

"And your welcome by the way." Calix added. Alexaite looked at him surprise but his eyes saw a glimpse of hope.

"Will you..join us then..?" He asked. Calix looked at him and sighed.
"I'm not sure about that yet..but I guess I can tell you when my mind as finally made a choice." Alexaite nodded, understanding.

"Well then see me here in a week. That should be enough time." Alexaite said. "Yeah I will." Calix told him.

"Well I'm gonna go now. See you?" "See you." Alexaite nodded taking his leave as calix sighed and went back to his own place.

He arrived at his little home and immediately changed into some civil clothes. He sighed going to his room flopping onto his bed facing the ceiling.

"It's going to be a tough day tomorrow." He told himself.
"I guess I'll just sleep." He said, closing his eyes as sleep take over him.

It will be a big day tomorrow. And it isn't going to be easy.
