I knew she loved kissing me and I loved being with her but I wondered why she wasn't returning the 'I love you'. I wanted to tell her again but I didn't. Maybe the I love you earlier made her feel awkward or pressured to say it back or maybe she just didn't feel the same. We walked back inside locking our hands together still close and still feeling the electricity from her lips. I told her I came for a reason, she asked what my reason was and I explained that the movie would begin shooting later than planned because of a family emergency, so the movie wouldn't start for another month. I glance at the clock quickly so she doesn't think I'm rushing to leave, I don't think she caught me but you can never be too sure. The clock read 6:00 p.m. I think that she did notice because she said "its dinner time", I laughed and said "I guess it is". I offered to make something and she agreed to help. We walked to the pantry and refrigerator and grabbed the sour cream, potatoes, butter, A1 steak sauce, steak, and mushrooms. I went outside to cook the steaks, and waved at her with a big goofy smile on my face. She was shaking her head laughing and waving back returning the goofy smile which I had given to her. She rushed around the kitchen cooking the mushrooms on the stove and the potatoes in the microwave making sure neither one burned. I took the steaks off the grill after seeing that they were cooked to perfection as I had said laughing at myself taking them off the grill. I walked back in the house with the steaks as she was just finishing putting sour cream and butter into the potatoes. She glanced at me, smiled, and continued her work with the potatoes. She motioned me to go to her and I carried the plate of steaks with me. I grabbed a fork and a knife and cut the steaks up so they would be ready to eat. I poured A1 on the steaks and said that they were ready. I grabbed the mushrooms which happened to smell lovely in their mushroom like way, and put them over the steak. She grabbed us both a glass of milk and sat those down at the table outside. As I followed carrying the plates. I set them down as she ran back inside for forks and knives and napkins. She closed the door behind her and walked towards me. She set the silverware on the table along with the napkins and sat down next to me. The sun had began to make its way to set and began to turn the sky the beautiful pink, orange and bluish white color. We both looked up at the star of the day fade away into the stars of the night and looked back at each other. She began to say grace as I followed in prayer. "Bless us O'Lord in these thy gifts which we are about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord. Amen. We picked up the silver ware and both took our first bite and complimented each other on the fine meal we had prepared. As we ate dinner we discussed music and I learned that she also sang and wrote music with her best friend Pearl. I told her about my brothers and sister and how we wrote and performed music too. We laughed a lot and told each other a lot about ourselves, I wondered about her past but never said anything so I wouldn't offend or make anything awkward for her. It got darker and We said our goodbyes and I kissed her on the cheek and made my way back to the car.
