*Alarm beeps*
I slowly lift my arm towards the alarm, shutting the alarm off. I think to myself, "How's school gonna be today? I just moved into a new school, new place, new house... I hope everything turns out well."
With dark circles under my eyes, I lift myself out my red bed, stand in front of my closet, in search of an outfit that screams "First day of school". I simply pull out a black tank top with white writing on top that says "Look away. Nothing interesting here" with a pair of light blue skinny high waisted jeans, which I love so much. I skip breakfast, knowing that I'd be late to school if I did eat. My mother always drives me to school on the first days, practically because she insists that it'd make me less nervous. I put on my black mascara and eyeliner, and a few black and silver bracelets on my left arm. I grab my cherry red book bag, tie my black vans, and off we went. The sky was moist, and the clouds were hiding.
I kept on worrying on how bad today would be because I hear that it's not very pleasant when you're a new kid at Radley Snow High. I've been told the school is surrounded by freaks, and not the good kind. On the other hand, there are goody-goodies and kind people, as what I would call "none-pervs"."Sweetie, are you sure you'll be okay?," said my mom while making a left turn.
"Yes, mom. I don't know if it's gonna turn out okay but we'll see," I responded.
"Well, good luck, call me as soon as school ends. Make sure to make some friends, don't be mean, follow your schedule, remember to-"
"Mom, I know," I cut her off.She sighed, as she pulled over the driveway to drop me off at school. I opened the car door, as I looked at my mom.
"Be careful. Call me if anything happens," she said in between tears.I closed the car door, and watch my mother's gray Toyota drive off. I looked around, but couldn't find anybody of my particular style. I walked straight to the office, and when I arrived, I saw a woman sitting behind a counter.
"May I help you, young lady?," she politely asked.
"Yes, um, I'm new here and I need my schedule," I kindly responded.
"Oh, you're a new student? Come with me!," she said as she stood up and walked into her very own office. She sat behind another desk, but as I looked at the room there was a sign hanging from the door that read "Principal Karyn"."So did you mother come with you?"
"No, she dropped me off."
"Ok well take these papers, and when you get home tell your mother to sign them for me. They're the verification papers and a few surveys," she said as she handed me the papers.
"Ok, I will. Thank you," I politely said as I stood up from the chair. As soon as I reached the door, I heard her say behind me, "Aren't you missing something?" I turned around and saw her holding my schedule, practically what I came for. I walked over, took the schedule, thanked her again, and walked out.*Bell rings*
As I heard the bell ring, I knew it was the beginning of a new year.
