"SHIT! WHERE IS IT?!"

A dirty blonde ran around, looking for whatever they were looking for, finally finding it in the corner of their room.

"Finally.." They muttered as they picked up a guitar, putting it on their back.

They glanced at the time, 8:00.

Great.

OH SHIT NOT GREAT-

They instantly ran out the door, locking the door immideatly and running to a café.

The café was opening soon, which explains why the smell of freshly baked crossiants, sweet muffins, and the smell of bitter but sweet coffee hit them in an instant.

"Mark! You're late!" The guitar player looked up to see the manager, Amanda.

"Sorry, Mandy.. My car broke down." They said, gasping for breath.

"Then why are you breathing so heavily?" Amanda asked, gesturing to their breathing.

"I- Uhm.." Mark stumbled on their words, trying to find an excuse in their head.

"You know what? It doesn't matter. Just hurry up, we open in 3 minutes, and there's somewhat of a line of people." Amanda stated.

Mark took a quick look at the transparent doors with a black frame.

There was indeed a line.

"Mandy.. How the hell did you get this many people?" Mark asked as he stared at the line.

"The power of Facebook and family. Now chop chop! Get on your stool and start playing!" Amanda said in a demanding tone.

Mark quickly got onto the small platform and got onto the wooden stool.

Plucking the strings, making sure it was still in tune.

They put their guitar on their right leg, running their fingers through the strings carefully.

The café opened, customers came flooding in.

Mark began playing, the soft strums and soft beats of the guitar filling the rest of the café while voices filled it the most.

Carefully strumming the guitar, they got a call.

Who calls at 8 in the morning?

Scam calls.

Mark ignored it and kept on playing, not bothering to check their phone.

Until someone called again.

Again, they ignored it, starting to get more annoyed by the moment.

Thankfully, nobody called them again.

So, Mark kept playing in peace.

"Mark!" Someone voice called out as Mark turned their head to face Amanda holding the work phone in her hands.

"It's for you!" Amanda added.

Confused, Mark got up, leaving their guitar on the stool as he went up to Amanda.

"Thanks, Mandy.." Mark told the other before she went away.

"Hello, this is Mark Evans from Coffee Confessions! How may I help you?"

"Hello, Ranboo."

Mark's heart dropped to their stomach, hearing that name.

They had to grab onto the counter where everyone put their bags so they wouldn't pass out hard on the floor.

"W-what are you talking about?" Mark stammered.

"Ranboo Ender, Detective, whatever you wanna be called."
