"That was so delicious Josie, thank you for having us" Hallie says to my mom.

"Oh I'm glad you enjoyed it. I just can't believe our baby's have graduated" she says looking at me.

"Mom, don't get soppy" I say

"Sorry honey, I'm just so proud of you, proud of you all" she says

"Let's make a cheers to Madison, Hero and Isabella" Hallie says.

"Cheers" everyone says in unison.

"Ahhh Hero is just a lovely young man, don't you think Mads" my mom says to after seeing them out.

"Mom not this again" I say rolling my eyes.

"What I'm just saying you would make a lovely couple" she states.

"How many times, he's annoying and I'm best friends with Bella, it would be so weird" I argue.

"Well I'm just saying if-

I cut her off "mom stop" I say marching up to my room.

It was dark now so I switched my bedroom light on.

I was just about to shut my curtains when I see Hero working out in his room through my window

Yes, our rooms were opposite from each other.

I couldn't help but stare.

His body was perfect.

Suddenly he gets up to take his top off but catches me looking at him.

He winks at me then starts smirking.

I quickly look away.

"Whatcha looking at" Austin says from behind me causing me to jump.

"Fuck sakes Austin you scared the shit out of me" closing the curtain immediately.

He laughs then walks out my room,  of course leaving my door wide open.

So annoying.

I get ready to go to bed.

I was exhausted still from last night.

I scroll through my phone when I get a Snapchat from Bella.

"Wanna come to watch Hero's basketball game tomorrow with me, Tyler, Scott and Lay Xxx"

I quickly make up an excuse.

I didn't want to see Hero.

"I'm still not feeling too great so I'll give it a miss xxx"

"Awww ok well get better soon. I'll come round after the game and we can have a movie night? Xx"

"Sounds good, see ya tomorrow xxx"

I put my phone down.

Message from Hero-

"Heard you're not coming to see me play tomorrow😔"

"Not feeling well soz" I reply

"I can always come round and make you feel better😏"

"Hero stop it" I reply

"Not what you were saying last night😜"

I blank him

Why was he being so flirty with me. He never used to be like this. Well he was but never this much.

You'd think I would be loving the attention, I mean I have always fancied him but I couldn't go there. Bella would hate me.

*buzz*

Hero again

I ignore it.

Suddenly I hear a tap at my window.

Must be the wind.

All of a sudden I hear it opening.

I scream.

"Shhhhh" Hero says shutting me up.

I could hear my dad coming to see if I was ok.

"Quickly hide" I tell Hero.

He quickly slides under my bed.

"You okay" my dad asks

"Yeah sorry thought I saw a massive spider" I quickly make up a lie.

"Okay well goodnight honey, love you" he says

"Love you too, night" I reply then he shuts my door.

I let out a sigh of relief.

Hero gets out from underneath my bed.

"That was close" he laughs

"This isn't funny, get the fuck out now" I whisper yell

"Why you being like this Mads" he asks sitting down at the end of my bed.

"Being like what" I snap

"Acting as if you hate me, we haven't seen each other in years and all of a sudden you hate me" he says

"I don't hate you, i just think you're an annoying idiot" I reply

"Sorry" he says

"What for" I ask confused

"For being an annoying idiot" he says

"Ok that was harsh but you need to stop flirting with me" I say

"I think we've gone past flirting don't you think" he smirks.

"I mean it Hero, Bella is my best friend and your sister she would kill us if she found out" I say

"Bella is a drama queen, she's the only one who would have a problem. My parents love you" he says

"Hate to admit it but mine think the sun shines out your backside" I smirk

"Been waiting for that" Hero says

"What?" I ask

"To see you smile, I've missed you" he says looking at me.

"Yeah I've missed you too" I smile.

"I've always seen you as just Bella's best friend but last night when I saw you, I was lost for words, you looked incredible" he says shuffling closer to me.

"Hero you need to go" I say

"Come on Mads" he says

"Go please" I say even though I wanted him to stay.

"Ok I'll go" he says

He kisses my head before heading out of the window

"Goodnight beautiful" he winks before going.

I let out a sigh before drifting off to sleep.
