"I think of life as a good book. The further you get into it, the more it begins to make sense." -Harold Kushner
Life is strange. You live in a world full of billions of people whose lives are unknown to yourself. Each life, mind, appearance, personality, they are all different. No two people are the same. Even twins or triplets have their own uniqueness.
Everyone has a different story, a different path to follow that decides their future but know one knows what that future will be. No one knows how long they will live, what their biggest accomplishment in life will be, who they will marry or the places they will visit. No one knows how or when they will die.
Life is one big mystery and it's up to every person as an individual to solve it.
"...people fall in love in mysterious ways and maybe it's all part of a plan..."
"Harry." The name echoed.
"...But me I fall in love with you every single day..."
"Harry." And again.
"...And I just want to tell you I am.."
"Harry!"
Harry snapped his head to the side, turning his gaze away from the window. He suddenly realised it was his mother trying to get his attention and pulled his earphones out.
"You're head is always in the clouds." She sighed.
"Sorry." Harry apologised, turning his attention to the floor. He has never been fond of eye contact, scared of being judged by people.
"What are you listening to anyway?" His mum asked, sitting opposite him on the window seat.
"Nothing just everything."
"You know that doesn't really make sense but I'll go along with it anyway." Harry had always been a person of very little words even as a child. His mum always thought something was wrong, feared he was depressed but never knew why. After wanting him to see a doctor, Harry assured her he was fine. He is someone who prefers to keep himself to himself.
He has his small group of friends but he barely hangs out with them. Harry would prefer to hide away in his room with his music than go out and socialise. Whenever he has time, outside of work and university, Harry would always spend hours in the library curled up in the corner with a book. Normally 21 year old university students would be out partying but not Harry. He is what some say the complete opposite of normal but he doesn't care.
He doesn't let the opinions of others affect who he is and what he does with his life. He knows where he wants to end up in the future and he will get there in his own time and in his own way. For now Harry will be Harry and Harry is quiet but generous young adult with a creative mind. He works most nights at his local supermarket to pay his way through uni whilst also saving up to get his own place. He loves disappearing for hours in a good book, imaging what it would be like to live the lives of others. He also is gay and couldn't care less about what people think about that. Harry is who he is and he is happy.
