"'DOn't do AnYthIng stuPid' my butt." Came out as a playful grumble out of Katrina's lips as he left.
The actress was left just outside the door to his hotel room dumbfounded and confused at his sudden departure. The hotel hall was empty now, its silence deafening. With a defeated sigh, she slung her bag over her shoulder and pulled her hotel keycard out, and made her way to her room.
Back in her room, which is merely a couple of blocks away from his the actress wondered why in the hell would he suddenly run out—
Oh right.
She didn't wanna question it no more, nor hold it against... Who is she kidding?
Maybe just a bit.
Yeah, a tad bit.
Who in the world goes "We should go out for a drink" only to bail out two minutes later?
It... left... quite a bit of a bitter taste— but his job needed him. Who was she to tell him to stay anyway?
On a serious note, it was a surprise for Katrina to get along with someone that fast. Especially when she found him intimidating at first, it wasn't something she expected from someone like him.
Who wouldn't get intimidated by some emo Nick Carter who kicks zombie butts?
Anyways...
She dug through her luggage and changed into a loose shirt and shorts. Jumping into the bed, Katrina hugged her pillows. He wasn't as bad as she thought he was. She never thought he was a bad person because if he was, he would've left her there.
Not to mention, though the man was fine as hell. She wasn't ever gonna deny that. She noticed that five years ago. And goddamn, 5 years did him justice— Sure he looked tired as hell but damn he's like fine wine.
Her mind took her back to earlier when she was on her way back to her room, where she found him about to get in his. From that point on, the two spent the whole time talking about... whatever they could talk about.
At first, it was about Tall Oaks, which immediately changed to her stupid antics back in university, one that involved her going to class intoxicated, which led to the weirdest food combinations she's ever known... which started from her trying vodka and gummy bears.
It wasn't that bad, but it is indeed weird. Why would you—
Then it shifted to nice places to live in, only for him to tease her about her asking him out on a date.
She was a blushing mess, Katrina gets flustered easily, especially that caught her off guard.
Though she wasn't opposed to the idea...
She chuckled to herself, upon realizing she didn't have to act so... careful. She's honestly never done that with someone else before. Katrina chuckled to herself, she was taught to put on her best behavior all the time, wanting to look the best, so self-conscious.
She didn't wanna think about him and by him: her sorry excuse of an ex-husband, it still made her blood boil, and disgusted with herself that she allowed that to go on for so long. She wished she realized she was more worthy than he made her feel.
Katrina still questions it, to be honest. Nobody deserves to be treated the way Richard had treated her, but maybe she was that "nobody"?
It amazed her how she managed to be herself in front of someone else and mind you— she just met him... again.
Was she hoping they'd cross paths once again?
The answer is a definite yes.
Another question: When?
To think she just met him once again by chance, who knows that might be the last. Both of them never kept contact after Tall Oaks, so...
How in the world did this happen? Out of all the places? Why? Is this a coincidence?
The brunette got up from the bed, only for her to stumble between the sheets that scattered on the floor with a loud thud. "Ouch!" She exclaimed, pulling herself together to her feet, Katrina dove her hand into her bag once again.
She pulled out a piece of paper, unfolding it to reveal....
His number.
Should she call?
Yes? Or no?
