Taylor's POV:

I was about to get on the bus after school when I heard someone call my name. I turned around and saw Luke walking towards me. He had a confident smirk on his face and a leather jacket over his shoulder.

"Hey, Taylor, can I talk to you for a minute?" he asked, stopping in front of me.

"Uh, sure, what's up?" I said, feeling nervous.

"I just wanted to say hi and see how you're doing," he said, making small talk.

"Oh, I'm doing fine, thanks. How about you?"

"I'm doing good too. Just finished another day of school," he said. I was surprised by what he stated after today. Usually, by this time of the day, he would have already skipped class and went home.

"Yeah, me too. How was your day?" I asked.

"It was alright. Nothing too exciting, Just finished gym"

"Cool. I had English".

"Do you like English?" he asked. Again, he surprised me. I hadn't even thought he would be interested in discussing topics about school.

"I do. It's my favorite subject. I love reading and writing stories," I said.

"Really? Me too. What kind of stories do you write?" he asked.

I felt another surge of surprise. I didn't know that Luke liked writing stories. I wondered if he was being sincere or just trying to impress me.

"I write mostly fantasy and romance stories. You know, with magic and adventure and love," I said.

"Wow. That's awesome. Do you have any stories that you're working on right now?" he asked.

I nodded shyly. "Yeah, I do. I'm working on a story about a girl who finds out that she's a witch."

He smiled warmly. "That sounds cool. I'd love to read it sometime."

I felt a spark of connection with Luke. I couldn't believe that he liked writing stories as much as I did. I wondered if he had more things in common with me than I thought.

He looked at me with interest. "So, how was your day? Anything interesting happen?"

I thought for a moment. I had a pretty normal day, but I decided to share something that made me happy.

"Well, I got an A on my history test today. I studied really hard for it," I said.

He nodded enthusiastically. "That's awesome. Congratulations."

I smiled gratefully. "Thanks, Luke."

We looked into each other's eyes for a moment, feeling a mutual attraction.

He cleared his throat and broke the silence. "Well, I was wondering if you would like to go out with me sometime," he said casually, looking at me with interest.

I felt a surge of surprise and doubt. I didn't know what to say. I had just met Luke, I barely knew anything about him. Although, I would be lying if I said I hadn't thought about him being more than a friend. But he hadn't shown as much interest in me before. Why was he asking me out now? Did he actually like me? Or is it just some kind of a game?

I hesitated to respond, not knowing yet how I truly felt about Luke. I didn't know if I truly liked him, or just felt some attraction based on his reputation.

He waited patiently for my response, although I could tell he was getting nervous.

I glanced at the bus, which was about to leave. I didn't have much time to think.
