Chapter 4: Sticky Situation

As she opened the door, she saw not what she expected. It wasn't men in suits, in fact... It was the four princes from the different countries. "Prince Hayden, Prince Oliver, Prince Sieg, and Prince Ivan are all in front of my door..." Ariana thought. "Good afternoon, Miss. Have you heard the news about Prince Kuon?" Sieg asked. "Prince Kuon?" Ariana asked. "Yes, do you know that he has been missing for nearly a month?" Oliver asked. "Yeah... I heard about that. If you're wondering if I seen him around, I have not." Ariana said. "May we look around your home?" Hayden asked. "S-Sure..." Ariana said. 

All of the four princes went into her home. "Oh no... If they find him, then... They're going to think I'm a psychotic maniac for hiding him for this long..." Ariana thought. "I think I found some clue." Ivan said in her room. "Oh no! They found his stuff!" Ariana thought.

All of the princes went into her room. "This is..." Hayden said. "Kuon's things..." Oliver said. "No doubt about it..." Sieg said. All of them turned to her. "You have some explaining to do, Miss." Sieg said.

She felt herself hyperventilating. "Ok! That's it! I can't take this guilt anymore! Yes... I admit that Prince Kuon has been staying here..." Ariana said.

Sieg came over to her and got a hold of her shirt collar. "What's your reason?" Sieg asked. "H-He... He came here on his own. I didn't kidnap him." Ariana said. "Do you expect us to believe you?" Sieg asked. "You're in a whole lot of trouble." Ivan said. "Wait." A distant voice said. Everyone was looking around seeing Kuon climbed up the ladder from the window. "Kuon!" Oliver said. "This girl says that you came here on your own, but that doesn't sound believable." Sieg said. "No, she's right... I did." Kuon said.

All of the princes gasped. "But... Why?" Oliver asked. "Because... I didn't want to... Take over the throne." Kuon said. "That's a stupid reason!" Ivan exclaimed. "Yeah, I know. I hid myself here at her home, because I was running away from my problems." Kuon said. "Prince Kuon..." Hayden said. "You need to go back. You can't stay here forever." Sieg said.

Kuon went over to Sieg. "First of all..." Kuon said and forced Sieg to let go of Ariana. "How dare you assault her." Kuon said giving him a cold glare. "P-Prince Kuon..." Ariana thought.

All of the princes were surprised. "Why are you protecting her?" Sieg asked. He looked down. "I don't even know myself. She's... She's the first one who treated me like a normal human being, and... I... I liked how it felt." Kuon said. "Kuon..." Oliver said. "Prince Kuon..." Ariana said.

He looked at her. "As for you... Since we've been found out, this will go viral, so... You need to come with me, because when everyone does find out that I've been hiding here, you'll be in danger." Kuon said.

All of the princes grunted. "You can't be serious?!" Ivan exclaimed. "I'm serious. It's my fault that it's going to happen to her, so that's why I'm going to have her live in the castle until then." Kuon said. "He does have a point..." Sieg said. "She will be in danger when everyone finds out about this..." Hayden said. "I'm going to take her with me no matter what all of you say." Kuon said. "Fine... You can take her or whatever." Sieg said. "Yeah, I'm going back to that... That place." Kuon said. "Good." Ivan said.

Kuon looked at her again. "You... Pack your things." Kuon said. "O-Ok... But..." Ariana said. "What?" Kuon asked. "Can you let go of me please?" Ariana asked.

He noticed that he was still holding her close to him and he quickly let her go. "Sorry." Kuon said blushing. "It's fine. Your highnesses... I apologize for all of this." Ariana said bowing. "It's not your fault, Miss." Oliver said. "But still... I'm highly involved in this. I did try to kick him out several times, but he just refuses to leave." Ariana said. "Yeah, isn't that the truth?" Kuon asked. "Kuon... I can't believe that you made a young lady do this for you. You should be ashamed of yourself!" Oliver said. "Yeah. Yeah. I'm the one at fault. And you! I said to pack your things!" Kuon said. "I have a name you know! It's Ariana!" Ariana said and started to pack her things.
