See, it all started innocently enough.
"Okay!" The host spins around in his chair, big grins as he stares across the table at Kentrell's smug grin. "Welcoming back to the set, NBA YoungBoy! How has life been since you've been free? Whatcha been getting up too now?"
Kentrell shrugs, glancing at the camera for a moment to wink with a cocky little smirk. He can almost see all the fine bitches melting over that. "Reconnectin' wit ma kids, ma family... networkin'.. hustlin'.. went ta see ma granny. You know how uh young nigga do." Irony because the thirty something year old white man across the table interviewing him most certainly did not know how young niggas do. At this Kentrell laughs. "Workin' on shit fa ma fans. I swea, I luh 'em all ta da bottom uh ma heart."
"Even Von?"
"Nigga- say what? I said I luh ma fans.. not ma opps!" Kentrell readjusted himself in the black leather office chair. Shit like this is the reason why he doesn't fucking do interviews! The only things these people care about are starting drama and creating chaos! But while he's here, he might as well make the most of it. Kentrell is a troll deep down after all. Inside his head, Top is having a field's day.
'Told yo ass not ta show.'
'Shut up, mane.'
The reporter calmly raises both hands while looking around his left shoulder to make sure security guards were stands just off the set.. just in case. You can never quite tell with these rapper types. After Kodak Black kicked his ass for laughing at his hair, he doesn't quite trust any of them. "Von was a fan of y-"
"What? Da hell dat nigga was!" Kentrell hisses. "Say mane, what's ta you? Huh? Uh young nigga just got off house arrest aftea three years.. why you tweakin' and tryin' ta get Top out?" The younger of the two asks angrily.
The interviewer blinks. Top? Who the fuck.. he shakes the thought from his head. "See, we have video proof of Von listening and vibing to your music. Let's check it out."
The moment the video came on and he saw Von in a vehicle on live bumping his shit with a big ass grin.. something inside of Kentrell snapped.
That's when it started.
After that, Kentrell changed. Not that someone really seemed to notice. He was private in that way. He started listening to Von's music, watching all the TikToks, lives and music videos he could find. He started researching his story, his meteoric rise and tragic fall.
Soon he came to the conclusion, Von was never an opp.
In fact, over the weeks he's grown to like him- hell, adore him. He's become a fan of his.
And like all the other fans, he starts to grieve and mourn for him.
But unlike all Von's other fans, Kentrell has a secret weapon.
