"Jakey?"

Sunghoon who just woke up from his long beauty sleep, immediately went straight to Jake's room but then "Oh right, he works at the café for now" thinking the Aussie boy must've already left without telling him due to rush "But he should still text me and leave messages...how about sweet good morning text? huh"

"Have you seen Jake this morning? did he ate breakfast? or just... anyone of you saw him going out?" all the workers in the room just stay silent as they look at each other, shaking their head, afraid to pissed off the young master when he already looks grumpy enough but one maid raised her hand slowly "uh...Jake said he wants to quit being your personal maid but he's too afraid to tell you himself so he left the mansion in the early morning and he-"

She stops, looking at the expression of the young master, he definitely is on Fire (I got the fire- insert Mingyu's crack voice)
Sunghoon slowly approaches her, the silent atmosphere in the room is way too loud "What the hell did you just said?"

"J-Jake left the mansion, he doesn't want to be your p-personal maid anymore so he ran away without telling you since you won't allow him-"

"DON'T FUCKING LIE TO ME-"

"Y-Young Master, she's correct please, Jake really left the mansion -" the other maid quickly speak up and the others are like "Yes it's true, Jake even asked for money to the Master yesterday, so he can quit and go back to Australia"

Sunghoon heart feels heavy, it's hard for him to breath all of a sudden, why would Jake suddenly left him? without even telling him? when they don't have any conflict between each other and Jake looks happy with him, right? Jake is not angry at him right? Sunghoon asks himself everything that can be questioned

"Master and Mistress also left the mansion at midnight due to their sudden flight getting postponed, they said they'll comeback to visit next month and Master wants to inform you that you don't need personal maid anymore, just fo-" the maid stop at mid sentence, all of them signalling each others and then leave the room, looking at Sunghoon's expression, if they keep staying in the room they might get fired by the young master

Sunghoon just stares at his front, looking like he's spacing out but his mind is miserable, his body feels like getting stab multiple times, he can't swallow all those words and those mix feelings he keeps getting is quietly killing him "Jake..." he quietly whispers to himself and then he suddenly rushed back to the Aussie boy's room

Since Jake is unexpectedly neat, his room looks new all the time that's why Sunghoon didn't pay attention to this morning when he looked for Jake. He approached the closet and of course, all the clothes are gone, the room is way too neat and empty that...Why didn't I noticed this-

"J-Jakey" Sunghoon called out again, he can't believe it, he doesn't want to believe it either but what if it's true? what is happening to him? the tears slowly fall down on his pale cheeks when his calls keep getting declined by the Aussie boy "Jake...SIM JAKE FUCK YOU! JAKE FUCK WHY??! W-WHY J-Jakey why..."

The cold Ice- Prince cries alone again in the room, having no one by his side, he may knows the reason but it's hard for him to except that Jake actually quit and left him. Sunghoon thinks that he truly deserves this treatment, the way he hurt Ni-ki and what he had done because of his father, nothing good actually happened to him and his happiness never exist long enough to believe that he even deserves to have a normal life

If only he knows what actually happened at the early morning...

around 6:30 a.m. ago...

"Jake, your phone is ringing"

"oh-" the Aussie boy quickly dashed towards the table where he kept his mobile and accepted the call without really paying attention to the caller id since he's in a rush "Hello?"

Jake quietly listened to the call while putting on his shoes, he's in a hurry due to his job, not just being a personal maid for Sunghoon but he asked to work in the En- Café and his boyfriend actually approved it especially after the incident between Niki and Sunghoon, the iceboy becomes more sensitive but as well saying yes to everything Jakey wants

"Hello? can you hear me? who's this?" Jake was getting more curious about the odd phone call with a long silent intro but with such a weird whimper, sounds like a dog begging for something or getting hurt... wait a hell min-

"Can you hear the sound Mr. Sim? that's your dog begging for life"

Jake didn't really know how to feel this with all the mixed emotions he gets from those sentences "Wha...what are you t-talking about?" The guy in the other call kept laughing at the stuttering voices "Well well, Mr. Sim, if you still want your dog, you'll have to come by yourself here without telling anyone because you're being watched okay? the moment we know someone other than you knowing about this, your dog will stop breathing immediately or should i just bury her alive? Due to your fucking annoying dog, i have to warn you in this early morning, I'll send you the location and do as i said"

The call ended, Jake dropped on his knees and all he could think about at this moment was just Layla and nothing else. He need to saves his dog, he won't be able to endure the death of Layla due to his carelessness so after he got messages from the same numbers, he quietly left the mansion. Jake just knew that he can't trust anyone in the mansion since Layla also live with him and the way she got kidnapped make so much sense that someone who live or work in this mansion has to be involved with this

Present moment..

Jake arrives the location, the place looked like an abandoned building or haunted one, he gets the chilling atmosphere and goosebumps all over his body "Aww, Layla also must've been so scared right now" It is so quiet that he can hear his own heartbeat "Why it feels like no one actually seems to be here, did i got tricked or something-"

Jake almost shouts in surprise when he suddenly heard the whimper for where he doesn't know the clear direction..."L-Layla?" he needs to be careful so he listens to the sound and approach the door that has a long dark hallway "This shit is scary as fuc-"

Jake opens the door, expecting to meet his dog "Lay...la-" it's not his dog, just another injured dog with different wounds on its body. The dog is whimpering, tiredly looking at Jake and he can tells that the dog needs immediate treatment or else it'll die due to losing blood so much "H-Hey buddy, you okay? yeah you're not but uh-"

The moment he steps closer to the dog, Jake feels the painful sting on the back of his head, he falls on the ground and dog barks with all it's energy left. The man with the mask grabs Jake's hair and the Aussie boy looks him back with his blurry vision, then he loses his consciousness afterwards

"We got him now, so what's next?"

"He said we need to send him back to his hometown or-"

"send him back? i thought he said sell him-"

"should we informed him?"

"how about his son instead? seems like we can get more millions from him instead-"
